I saw the smallest player in the Triple Crown 11U State tourney hit a Grand Slam, then another homer in the same game. 225' fence, and if you told me the kid was 8 years old, I'd believe you. Maybe 70 pounds dripping wet. Played for the Georgia Elite out of Savannah. Very impressive indeed. Pound for pound one of the most powerful hitters I've seen.

Guys, #12 for our team hit 6 home runs this weekend at the TC State tournament. If you haven't seen this kid play, you owe it to yourself and your sons to check him out sometime. He is truly a gifted athlete.

Watched one go over the ~250 foot fence in Dacula tonight in the GGBL tournament. New player on PTR and I think his first year in travel ball has hit several over this fence in the past few games and he's not a huge kid. A very impressive swing.

We saw him in the Monroe/Social Circle Tournament and he hit 2 against us and just missed a 3rd. on a ~230 field. He is the biggest 11U player I've ever seen. I thought the kid on the 643 Jags was tall until I saw this big boy.

Here's what happens next, he starts hitting more, but you have to fight off the upper cut swing.

I think I'll have to wait till 12U to have such a fun problem to solve.

bmoser, as stated before, I missed it as I was in Knoxville with his brother!

I do know this much, with 1 out, and 3-2 count with 2 runners on! It went out over left center/ left field.

When he called me later, he made me almost cry! lol He said when he rounded third, it hit him that I wasn't there, and he said HE almost cried, because I missed it. That made me feel so bad. But, luckily, I know he understands that his brothers need me sometimes too!

Bully for you and your son! I think I saw 3 of them, missed the late nighter. I saw 4 boys hit multiple homers in that tourney...Venom, Bandit, W GA Bandit, GA Elite. Did I miss any?

I also saw GA Jackets Gold, NYO, Bandit, W GA Bandit, Dirt Dawg, HS Express hit homers too. Did I miss any?

I saw 19 in all...if memory serves me.

I saw a kid for the Titans hit two Bombs yesterday in the AAU tournament on the 643 Jags, one of the Bombs being a grand slam. The kid had a total of 9 RBI’s. Ironically 643 cut the kid last August, might have been a little regret to cut one of the most dangerous sluggers in 11U baseball. That has to be some sweet Reciprocity!!!!!

I want to bring out one very important point about the homers. We have all agreed we love to see them and that they give us a big thrill but I want to point out that the Bandit pitching gave up one home run in 7 games and it was on one of our better pitches thrown. Low and outside to the big right hander from Georgia Elite that drops his hands to the ball and blasts it into the right field parking lot.

Now for the big debate. Which would you prefer the most, The really good power hitters or the great pitcher. Classic baseball duel. Who wins the bigger part of the time. Maybe this should be another topic but we will start it here. Moser, What are the stats on this match up and who is generally the winner, pitcher or hitter?

I would take the pitcher every time. Hitting goes in slumps more than pitching and defense.
