Next big tournament is in 2 weeks, who do you like? EC Braves, Shiloh, EC Rays, 643, EC Titans and EC Stars have got be the top teams to watch. The 10U longhorns are in this one as well but with all the major muscle playing I think they'll find the water too rough to their liking.
11 AND UNDER DIVISION (FIRST TO PAY WILL BE FIRST TO PLAY! WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF FIELD SPACE!)(WILL SPLIT INTO SILVER AND GOLD BRACKETS AFTER POOL PLAY WITH 16 PAID TEAMS): -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. EAST COBB TITANS--MARIETTA, GA 2. MILTON NATIONALS--MILTON, GA 3. SHILOH TITANS--SNELLVILLE, GA 4. GEORGIA JACKHAMMERS--ADAIRSVILLE, GA 5. EAST COBB RAPTORS--MARIETTA, GA 6. HOBGOOD THRASHERS--WOODSTOCK, GA 7. WEST FORSYTH DIAMOND DAWGS--CUMMING, GA 8. EAST COBB RAYS--MARIETTA, GA 9. SOUTH GWINNETT TITANS--SNELLVILLE, GA 10. EAST COBB SPARTANS--MARIETTA, GA 11. MIDWAY MAVERICKS--CUMMING, GA 12. EAST COBB YANKEES--MARIETTA, GA 13. PATRIOT BASEBALL ACADEMY--ALPHARETTA, GA 14. ROSWELL HORNETS--ROSWELL, GA 15. SFCB BARRETT BASEBALL--CUMMING, GA 16. NORTH GWINNETT BULLDOGS--SUWANEE, GA 17. SANDY PLAINS WILDCATS--MARIETTA, GA 18. GEORGIA SELECT RED--GRAYSON, GA 19. 6-4-3 DP COUGARS--MARIETTA, GA 20. EAST COBB BRAVES--MARIETTA, GA 21. EAST COBB STARS--MARIETTA, GA 22. east cobb diamondbacks--marietta, ga 23. wills park warriors--alpharetta, ga 24. sba scorpions--canton, ga 25. hobgood storm baseball--woodstock, ga 26. east cobb longhorns (10u)--marietta, ga |

I believe the 10U longhorns made it to the final 4 last year playing several of these 11U major teams. They were sent home by the East Cobb Braves but were honored to play them and love the rough waters. |

I thought the 11u EC Braves were playing up to the 12u???? Or at least I thought I saw that? |

We were originally going to play in the 12u division but early season injuries are plaguing us right now. Hopefully all of our kids will be back to full strength by early May. |

You are correct sir, the then 9U Longhorns did make it to the final four and ironically you played the same teams in bracket as you did in pool play. I will say that this years field is much deeper them last season, good luck to all the teams playing next weekend. |

Wow! Seems like a family reunion is gonna happen this weekend. As far as the backyard brawl, hopefully the rain holds off next weekend. The forecast is calling for more rain Thursday and Friday of next week, hopefully they can play it out. |

THE ONLY TOP RESPECTABLE TEAM LEFT OFF THE LIST ABOVE IS STEALTH BOMBERZ, WONDER WHERE THEY ARE PLAYING, SHOULD BE A DOOZER OF A TOURNAMENT WITH ALL THE TOP TEAMS EXCEPT THEM, GOOD LUCK TO ALL THIS NEXT WEEKEND. |

Error on 6,
I hope it makes you feel better to comment like that about a group of hard working 11yr old kids that they are not a respectable team. What team are you with again?? |

I doubt this will get posted....But anybody who thinks the EC Braves, Rays, Stars, Shiloh Titans or even the 10U EC Longhorns aren't respectable is simply not watching the games.... |

TAE381,
DONT KNOW WHAT TEAM YOUR WITH SO DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT, ALL I MENTIONED ABOVE WAS THAT THE BOMBERZ FROM ALBANY, GA ARE NOT IN THE BRAWL AND YOU BRING UP 11 YEAR OLD KIDS, FROM THE READING IVE DONE CATCHING UP ON THIS BOARD, THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF COMMENTS BELOW THE BELT REGARDING TEAMS QUITING, RIOTS STARTING AND COACHES CHEATING BY POURING WATER ON THE MOUND. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THIS NEXT WEEKEND |

Tae,
I can certainly see how error on 6 comment could have been taken the way you did, but would the reason you took it that way happen to have anything to do with you being one of the top teams at the major level and not being in that tourney yourself. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong here and I don't exactly know what he meant by it either. It just seems alot of post on here are quickly criticized by others based on how they perceived it rather than how it may have been meant. I'm guilty of it too but i'm just saying. I'm not speaking for or against error on 6 or anyone else here but I also see the other way this could have been taken and I feel he probably had no intentions of insulting any other team. Until you responded with your post, I honestly didn't see it the way you did when I first read it. I'm speculating here, but something tells me others didn't either til you shed the light on it that way. Seems you may have taken it a little more personal. |

Apparently I misread the above comment, regardless I don't think that Stealth is the only respectable team not playing in the TC tourney this weekend. It has nothing to do with riots starting or teams quitting. I see 5 teams that have a legit shot at winning this tournament this weekend and IMO this is one of the top 3 tourneys since the season started, the winner of this one will have to earn it!! |

Error on 6 it seems you have been doing a little more than reading. I didn't see the word riot used on this forum. Can you explain what 'respectable' means? And my team is in the tournament so I'm trying understand what you mean. |

I don't see how you could overlook the EC Braves?? I believe they are 2-0 at this point vs. the Rays. I watched both games and while they were hard fought games I don't believe the Braves fail to make the ship in this one. I can buy a Rays vs. Braves ship, but the Stars, Titans and Shiloh will also be there.... |

I think the braves said they had alot of injuries right now, and that can affect any team. Whether they make the ship or not, I'm sure they'll give it a good ride and be in every game. With the teams in this tournament, I'm sure several different ship predictions could hold true. |

Error on 6, Please plan your words a little better next time. I did not read anything in the post that was offensive. I took it as it was written, didn't try to read anything into it. The tourney is full of really good teams as you were trying to point out. When you start naming names you always will leave someone out. Everyone knows if your team is playing in the major division you are doing something right and you all are respectable. |

I'm not sure. ecbbraves posted this on 4/6/2011- "We were originally going to play in the 12u division but early season injuries are plaguing us right now. Hopefully all of our kids will be back to full strength by early May". |

We had some pitching injuries as well but with 15 days of rest, since we didn't play over spring break, we should be all healed up. Just in time for this coming weekends tournament. I know mine is dieing to play! |

2 major injuries requiring surgery for one and extensive rehab for both. One has been out since August and the other limited to hitting-only since the end of Feb. Hope to have both back to full participation within a month but we won't rush either. Lots of baseball yet to be played.
Injuries will start to become an obstacle for many now that kids in this age group are starting to hit growth spurts. If you ever drive by these monstrous homes around metro Atlanta and wonder "who lives in that??". It's probably a pediatric orthopaedist. They are making a killing these days. |
