There are lot's of names being thrown out there in the Super NIT predictions but for some reason there seems to be some people on here that can't wait to diminish certain teams accomplishments. Maybe you should mention good things about your own team and not try to dismiss others. "It's just the fall..." "Only a 6 team tournament..." "Haven't played anybody..." blah, blah, blah......

I still agree with smoke! We will see how it all pans out very soon. It is going to be a tough tournament for most teams, but still exciting to play the best no matter what! ;)

Not to beat some stacked all-star travel team from out-of-state consisting of players from 3 or 4 other rosters. IMO, the Astros are the best Georgia team and until you beat them then there is little you can say about being the best. Yes, believe it or not there is a little bit of respect down here for them only because they don't stack their roster with different players each week with kids from other rosters prior to a big tournament. What's the satisfaction in picking up players from several other teams rosters to do what your team couldn't do?.........STD!

I agree with you on this one. How can you beat a team (especially in this age group) when 10 out of the 17 on your roster turn 14 in May. And, looks like the average size of the boys run around 5'9" or 5'10". You are going to win a lot of games. I don't see them loosing very much. Go Astros

I also agree with smoke... but thing will play out and we will see hp as a top 5 team... then others will talk about ur team.. but talking about ur dominant pitching and the favorite along with the astros is a stretch and opens u up for comments... the great thing about this weekend is everyone is there and its put up or shut up and sunday others will mention u if u bring it which I expect u to do

ITS MID-MARCH & WE HAVEN'T EVEN TAKEN A GROUND BALL ON DIRT YET. IF WE CAN FIND SOME CARPET WE'LL BE IN GOOD SHAPE...........ON FRIDAY, WILL THE PECKING ORDER CHANGE AT ECB? RIGHT NOW I GUESS ITS ASTROS, THEN 45'S, BRAVES, PRIDE, EXTREME, IS THAT CORRECT?.....DARNELL, GOOD LUCK FRIDAY NITE. WE'RE PULLING FOR YOU, AS A MATTER OF FACT, WE'LL SEE YOU THERE. Yeah I agree, but I mean if you say that HP only won cause there was 6 teams in it your crazy, because I mean mostly all of the same people that were in that tournament are in this one. And you cant go off of saying that, because almost all the people on here are talking about 5 or 6 big contenders anyway....but We will see this weekend..... we will see.

I've "heard" they grow them big down south also...When it comes down to it...there ALL 13 years old with most getting ready to turn 14. Don't underestimate us down here...not all players have to have an "ECB" on their shirt to be an outstanding athlete.

I hear u spygate, hopefully everyone will leave it all on the field and there will be only one team standing at the end. And if that one team or any other team sends you home admit that they got the best of u on that particular day. After all it is baseball, and most of these teams could beat just about every team in the field on their best day. As far as HP goes all they can do is sign up for a tourny and play the competition. I seen nothing but compliments for the other teams in the homeplate classic. But your right it was 6 teams. And no HP is not a favorite this weekend by me even i will be pulling for them. I agree with Smoke, its 45s, RR, and Astros. We are just glad we can play in a tourny with all this talent. Better than that, there is no RAIN in the forcast. When is the last time that happened in S NIT?

Bracket Game 9 - Roadrunners vs 45s

Bracket Game 10 - Astros/Beyel vs MS/Astros

For the Astros to be in bracket game 10 that means they won't get the #1 seed out of pool C. So that means you obviously must have the RR's beating them. Right?

My prediction (all part of the fun)
Bracket game 9 BB vs 45's
Bracket game 10 HPCD vs CFV

I hear that they only have 9 normal sized players too. Must be something. The completed bracket in my head has us playing them in our second game tomorrow. Should be a good one.

This already shows the cracks in the armor of the Mighty. The number 1 Astros lost, and the number 2 Colt 45s and/or Roadrunners (2 games)lost. Wow!!! By the way, the 45s only had 3 hits against that Pride team (actually they both only had 3 hits - the 45s' hits just happened to produce a few more runs. I wonder if they are still clearly the 2nd best team, or if the gap might not be that large afterall. I don't know, sounds pretty evenly matched to me. Afterall, baseball is one of the those sports that anyone can beat you at any time. At any rate, I think all of the teams mentioned here are strong, as are the HP team and some others out there. keep playing boys, it's only March! Sunday should be interesting!

UNFORTUNATELY, A COUPLE OF TEAMS BACKED OUT OF THAT ONE BUT I GUESS I'LL SAY IT AGAIN......ASTROS, 45'S, & RR'S ARE THE CLEAR FAVORITES!

All 3 of those guys took big losses in Pool play!

How does the Covington catch not make the brackets after going 2-1 while Sharon Springs and Road Runners make it going 1-2?? Something smells "REAL FISHY" with this. Answers anyone??

The top 3 in each pool make it to bracket play. Placement is first based on total wins followed by runs allowed. The Catch just ended up with the short end on the stick this time. Gooses Gamers caught the same fate in pool B. Unfortunate, yes - but nothing "fishy"

Not to mention how does the EC Braves and Stixx go 2-1 and get a bye in the bracket yet HP goes 3-0 and has to start at the beginning AND go thru the Diamond Cutters bracket?

How can it be said that HP brought it to the table. Yes you can get an AMEN because you did not have the same road to travel as other teams in different pools. You did not have to play the Beyel Bros squad who is considered among the top teams on paper. The Elite Gamers, ECB Extreme, and Sharon Springs are very good teams and will punch you in the mouth given the chance; however other pools were heavily stacked. I am sorry if offending your opponents and I don't mean to do it, but HP you received a gift

seminole tony...I am with you..If they went by best 12 Win/Loss instead of 1-3 out of each pool the Goose Gamers & Covington Catch would be playing Sunday morning and not RR or SS. Umps were late for the 9:30pm games, my opinion seeding leaves a lot of questions//Good pool of teams but tourney could have been organized better overall.
