Pools C & D for sure have the toughest road, but will be exciting. Don't count yourselves out this early! I am sure you think more of your teams or you wouldn't be in this tourney! ;) |

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|

Sure wish I understood what goes into organizing the pools for a Tourney of this size especially since not all teams will make it to bracket play. If you base the pools soley on USSSA points you get this. Points - Team Name Pool A 1255- Central Florida Vipers 375 - Home Plate Chilidogs - Jones 220 - Stixx 75 - Mac N Seitz Indians 0 - Georgia Roadrunners 0 - Sharon Springs Baseball
Pool B 555 - East Cobb Pride 290 - Covington Catch 210 - East Cobb Titans 70 - East Cobb Extreme 0 - East Cobb Colt .45s 90 - Academy Elite Dodgers
Pool C 510 - Beyel Brothers Bulldogs 260 - Atlanta Dawgs 150 - East Cobb Astros 70 - Knock House Saints - Cecil 0 - Goose's Gamers 13's
Pool D 405 - MGBA Braves 225 - NC Diamond Cutters 90 - East Cobb Braves 45 - Elite Gamers 0 - Shamrock Baseball
Looks a lot different than what we ended up with. ;) |

Now bear in mind the pools were released before this weekends tournaments were completed, so the point totals they used for seeding were different. |

Who is the "they" that don't know? I am nervous that it may be me, because I surely do not know. Plus, I have always heard that if you are not sure who the sucker is then it is you. So it must be me. |

I find it kind of odd that so many people on here are picking a team with an overall record of 9-6 and an in-class record of 6-5 as one of the favorites to win not only their pool but as an overall favorite. Many of this year's teams are not the same as last year's teams. |

Pulpwood's been cyphering on this for a couple of days and has decided he's only willing to speculate thru the semis. The are just too many unknowns for the out of towners at this point. Here we go:
Bracket Game 9 - Roadrunners vs 45s
Bracket Game 10 - Astros/Beyel vs MS/Astros |

For the Astros to be in bracket game 10 that means they won't get the #1 seed out of pool C. So that means you obviously must have the RR's beating them. Right? |

Simmer down Checkswing.....Pulpwood still likes the Astros chances. However the Astros and Roadrunners do not match up in pool play. Since the Astros have a slightly harder pool schedule, Pulpwoods assuming they will be edged out of the number one seed on runs allowed.

My personal predictions for the upcoming NIT are: 1. Home Plate Chilidogs- Jones, or ECB Astros 2. Beyel Brothers 3. Roadrunners 4. 45s 5. Mac N Seitz Indians etc.... but I think that HP will come out on top on this one, just from the last couple of games I have seen them play in. I think the Astros will also finish in the top 3, but Home Plate just seems to have what it takes all around to beat any team they compete against. |

You cant go on HP's records from last year, because there is only like 2 or 3 boys on that team that were on it from the previous year. They have picked up a whole new roster except for those few. They have kids from all diffrent teams than last year. Cant wait to play this weekend. Go Chili Dogs! |

Listen, the only sweet surprise will be if there is someone out there from Georgia that can actually defeat the Astros. That is THE goal! Not to beat some stacked all-star travel team from out-of-state consisting of players from 3 or 4 other rosters. IMO, the Astros are the best Georgia team and until you beat them then there is little you can say about being the best. Yes, believe it or not there is a little bit of respect down here for them only because they don't stack their roster with different players each week with kids from other rosters prior to a big tournament. What's the satisfaction in picking up players from several other teams rosters to do what your team couldn't do?.........STD! |

The Lid is off and I am simmered Pulp. I meant to say you must have RR beating the Astros out for the #1 seed in pool C. I guess my mind thinks faster than I can type. I havent' seen RR play but just hearing about the Astros, it is tuff to bet against them. |

Pulpwood- I think your games 9 and 10 are right on.
My predictions based off this years records and teams they have played are as follows: Just for fun.
Pool A: Vipers or Braves, Titans(i understand titans did loose a pitcher this weekend). Pool B: 45's, Stixx, Gosses(depends on how much they have practiced in the snow) Pool C: Astros or RR's, and Mac N seitz(RR's have easier pool play) Pool D: Beyel Brothers(if they bring A team), Chillidogs, have not seen gamers, extreme, or SP

There are lot's of names being thrown out there in the Super NIT predictions but for some reason there seems to be some people on here that can't wait to diminish certain teams accomplishments. Maybe you should mention good things about your own team and not try to dismiss others. "It's just the fall..." "Only a 6 team tournament..." "Haven't played anybody..." blah, blah, blah...... |

UNFORTUNATELY, A COUPLE OF TEAMS BACKED OUT OF THAT ONE BUT I GUESS I'LL SAY IT AGAIN......ASTROS, 45'S, & RR'S ARE THE CLEAR FAVORITES! |
