Does anyone know when USSSA will release the 13 brackets? All the 13's are sold out and registration is closed so does it make since to go ahead and release the brackets so teams know when they're playing. It sure would help all the teams coming from out of town and north of the city making travel arrangements. I know Tony released the Slugfest brackets 2 weeks early and it sure helped us plan better.
I see some matchups when you log on to http://www.usssa.com/sports/TournamentSeedingReport.asp?TournID=707607 but I'm not sure if they're accurate.
Predictions?
Beyel Brothers Astros Roadrunners Mac n Seitz Colt 45's

They (USSSA) can't release them this week. There are at least 3 or 4 of the East Cobb teams playing in the Super NIT Warmup this weekend at East Cobb which is a USSSA tourney. Since U-trip uses a team's accumulated points for seeding, it wouldn't be fair to those teams to releast this week because each team will gain at least some points this weekend. |

Top 4 in no particular order...
Astros - no real explanation needed. Always a favorite.
Gooses Gamers - beat both the Astros and Beyel Brothers in Elite World Series last summer. I smell a rematch.
Beyel Brothers - always strong. Play a tough year round schedule in Florida. Can beat any team on any given day.
Mac N Seize - deep team and they always do well in tournament play. Finished 4th in the elite 32.
Of course you can never count out Homeplate, RR's, Braves, etc. but I'll have a better feel for where the're at after this weekends tourneys. |

astros, 45's, roadrunners appear to be the clear favorites from georgia in any tournament until proven otherwise

I don't think they'll wait til the tournaments are over this weekend because USSSA really doesn't update all their systems until Tuesday night and that would leave Matt Trebuchon less than 24 hrs to create pools for 450 teams. I'm confident saying that the pools have already been determined for the groups that have sold out.
Question is is Matt going to make us wait

I'm pretty sure it is not USSSA systems that have to be updated, it just requires the tournament director to update the system after the game for the points to be "in the system". I believe this to be the case because my son's team played in a tournament 2 years ago where the TD didn't update the scores until our coach called him on the Monday evening prior to Slugfest. He uploaded the scores that night and our points were showing later that night and were used in the Slugfest seeding report.
Since this weekend's tourney is hosted by the 14U EC Astros, I would think Dave Roberts and Bubba Smith would get the scores in ASAP. It may or may not make a difference, I don't know. But I would think they'll wait until Monday or Tuesday to release the brackets.
For my own taste, I'd love to see them now. |

Hold on guys, it depends on who Beyel Brothers are bringing. They have many of the MBA pride elite on roster. Is it last years team or the 2011 tournament team they have put together? |

HomeRunHitter, I think people will wait and see how they perform once they play with the likes of the Astros, Roadrunners and M&S. |

bball2k10-After playing them a couple times this season and watching them several times, I don't think any Georgia team can touch them. I have never seen a team stacked with all around talent! I think this tournament will come down to the Astros and the Beyel Brothers. Good luck to all. It is going to be a tough tourney! |

I don't know, but all 17 of them really looked strong this past weekend. I don't think they gave up more than 2 or 3 hits until the Championship. Strong pitching. Solid fielding. Hitting for average and power. Good/agressive base running. Confident. Looks like you could flip the line up and have the same results. |

It takes pitching to win these things or to be there in the end....there appears to be a short list of teams with that kind of pitching. Look at runs allowed vs. good majors and those teams are usually around late on Sundays |

cutoffman, I have looked at records of teams being talked about. It is very telling.!!!! Especially the RA view and record vs Major teams.
Good luck to all this weekend. |
