The Bulldogs played the Astros this weekend in the Triple Crown tournament championship game this weekend and the Bulldogs won it 8-0. But the Astros are a very good baseball team and so are the SBA Scorpions in East Cobb.

I agree that we will not have a very clear picture of where each team stands until June. The Bulldogs have played three USSSA KP touraments this year in addition to the Triple Crown event this last weekend. We have only played two KP tournaments (the Triple Crown and a Nation's at ATPP on April 2nd). Another team to keep an eye on is the S. Dekalb Grays, who have been playing 9U this Spring, but will drop down and play 8U occassionally.

Atlanta Angels #1 8u team, hands down. Not even a debate. Look what they did in the 8u Super NIT this year. Went 5-0, 54 runs scored, 4 runs allowed. Came in 1st place in a 11 team, 9u tournament 3 weeks ago in Dallas GA, and played in the championship game in the silver bracket, coming in 2nd place in the 9u Triple Crown tournament last weekend.

The perfect time for all the top 8U teams to bump heads would be in the upcoming Nations Spring Clash Tournament...Being held the weekend of April 29...The Atlanta Angels will be playing in it and it would be good to see Bulldog Baseball, Elite Gamers, Home Plate, East Cobb Astros and others to come out and go head to head. Don't wait until June to see how you all stack up...

I can say this after this weekend some teams that you faced at 6u has grown up and will leave you busted and sad. The HP chilidogs has grown up and look for them to upset some teams. That team has picked up some kids and the coaches have turned that team around. The Heat has a good team as well I will say. The Heat are big and strong and can beat you with the longball. My team the Grays are just lucky we still trying to hit off the tee.

The Grays are real good. In an earlier post, I noted that they are a team to keep an eye on...kind of ironic that they knocked us out in the final game this weekend. They are a team that will give you a lot of trouble. After this weekend, it is clear to me that the 8U age level has many teams capable of beating the top teams. It goes without saying the Gamer Red are strong, but I also think the Grays, Heat and Georgia Pirates are capable of beating any team out there.

The North Ga Crush played in the ship against the New Hope Rangers this past weekend in the 643 Invitational and came out on top in their first KP tourney. The Crush made it to the ship going through the SBA Scorpions and NBA Typhoon while the Rangers went through 643 and the EC TItans. Great game between two very good teams.

There was a "scrolling banner" on top of this website yesterday indicating this is where scores will be...hopefully, they'll put it back.

Well It looks like my boys from Oakley beat the Atlanta Angels 6-1 last night. Heard Oakley hit the ball hard and the Angels made a few errors. No Excuses though they just got beat and the Tournament is not over. The Angels need to settle down and play baseball the way they know how. It was only one game. They have another tough one today vs So Cal Outlaws. They got what they asked for.

I want to say hats off to the Atlanta Angels for making the Trip West. Very few teams ever come out West to play the Best. They have earned a lot of Respect from ALL us West Coast Travelball Community.

Good Luck the rest of the way.

I sure hate it for the Angels not having all their bullets out there. Its a rare opportunity to play the best and you'd want to be at your best...but like you said, "NO EXCUSES".
