We'll have some really good baseball to watch next week in this age group. Four really good teams-- South Dekalb Grays, Atlanta Angels, Yard Dogs Red and Bulldogs Baseball. Anyone going?
Can't wait. Will be there. Would have rather have seen Angels matched up aganist the Grays or Bulldogs since they have already played the Yard Dogs three times this year. Only seen the Bulldogs once and have not seen Grays at all this year. How do you feel about the new format?
We only played the Bulldogs once and lost. But I think the Angels and the Bulldog should have played cause I think both of those team want to say they are the best in Georgia hands down. But the Grays will just have to go out and play hard nose baseball. I wish they would have done it as one pool where all four teams play each other and the top two team move on.
I like the fact that you have to win a tournament in order to play in the final four. Good luck to all four teams. One thing is for sure...by Sunday evening there will be no doubt who the best 8U team in Georgia is!
The be honest the Grays are going for broke this weekend. We have nothing to lose at all. At worst we are the number 4 best 8u team in Georgia. Some people did not think we would even make it out of the State. Nate your right this is for rankings for the 8ukp season. I am willing to bet that we are being counted out again this weekend. But it's ok cause the monkey is not on the Grays back. It's two teams in this thing if they don't win it's going to hurt. So we are just going to play hard and go from there.
Should be some good games to see. Nothing against the two other teams, but I would like to see Bulldog Baseball and Atlanta Angels play for championship on Sunday.
Well the Angels stopped our road again for the second time in a row in the last two years. Our season is over and we may be back or we may split up and go different ways. Not over the loss but going to 9 is going to be a real jump and the start of real baseball. For now wonderful season for everyone and good luck this fall and in 2012. For now the Grays will fall back in the shadows and go underground as we do every year. We may be back we may not but I am sure we will see you guys around.
On thing Rob each year we get a kid here and there but the days of trying to beat you all is over. 9u is going to bring a whole new deal now. I am not sure about everybody else but we have to battle with others in the west, South and some in the North. I think we should make the big 32 next year but it has been fun.
