Depends on age group ... I think that Ripken is great for all ages except 13 because you have to play on 60/90 fields at 13. Otherwise it's very cool. Unless cost of travel is an issue, you can't beat Cooperstown at 12. For Ripken, you never know what kind of competition you're going to get, but we saw some of everything. Regardless, the beach, water park, and NASCAR racing experience in Myrtle Beach are awesome, and it's a lot of baseball. Can't speak for Disney because we've never been.

Disney isnt anything special. The fields for age groups 9-12 are not anything to write home about. There are better fields at some of the local Georgia parks. For the older age groups 13 and up the fields are a little nicer. Its nice at the older age groups to play in the Stadium but other than that again nothing special. Other cons playing at Disney is you will WALK MILES to get from one location to another. The food and drink are also very expensive. For 2 hotdogs, a turkey wrap and large drink I paid $27. Plus another thing that Im not sure most people know. For a baseball tournament Disney does not supply the umpires. Those are supplied by whoever the tournament organization is. Down in central Florida finding good umpires is difficult.

G Man is right on about Disney..Played on both (stadium and outside fields) and tell ya what, my son was invited to a memorial day tourny and we kindly declined due to the same exact reasons..Glad we got to experience Disney, but I'll pass..

Ive been to Disney 3 times...twice for USSSA ELITE and once for AAU Nationals. My family and son really enjoyed all 3 tourneys. Competition is OUTSTANDING for the ELITE. AAU not as much but still pretty high level of baseball being played. I would not go to Disney just to go ...But if you go to play in one of these tourneys you will get what you paid for.

Cooperstown is awesome..Went there last year with 12s and we got to play in the "ship" in front of a couple of thousand fans...It was awesome..But even if we had not made it that far in tourney it would have been a great experience that ALL players should try and do atleast once. I certainly would not want to play on 200 FT fences every tournament but it is fun for the boys, exciting for the parents, and nerve wrecking for the coach.

I would add the Triple Crown Omaha to this list as it is played during the College World Series. Good option for 13s. Many of our coaches and parents enjoyed this more than Cooperstown. We were able to see 4 CWS games while also playing in a very competitive tourney with teanms from more than 25 states including several of the top nationally ranked teams. And they also have a division 2 tourney as well for teams not interested in playing high AAA and major teams. If you have never been, the CWS is a great experience.

Many of our parents said the Omaha tourney was poorly ran and didnt have the talent that the others typically have. I didnt go, so I dont have any firsthand knowledge. Just heard alot of complaints about the organization and competition.
