Sharon Springs Baseball sitting at 13 seed with 5-1 record. Stixx Baseball 5-1 at 15, South Forsyth Renegades 5-1 at 22, East Cobb White Sox 5-1 18 seed, Collins Hill Green 5-1 at 19 EC Longhorns 5-1 at 20 seed. Webb Bridge Athletics 5-1 at 25 seed Suwannee Stix 4-2 at 32 seed. EC Seminoles EC Titan and West Forsyth Diamond Dogs 4-2 at all at 32 seed or less.

Looks like some GA teams poised to make a run deep into tourney. Sharon Springs was one run away from being 6-0 with a schedule that included the 11 and 6 seed in the tourney. Were seeded second after four of six pool games till they lost a one run game to another undefeated team, then came back from a deficit to beat the number 4 seed after 5 games in a one run thriller. Kyle Wilke, Mason McWhorter, Peyton Runion are going yard. Wilke was the man in the final pool game, hitting huge three run home run late in game when his team was down and then coming in to pitch the last inning for the save.

I wonder how many homeruns get hit each week on average at Cooperstown? Anyone know?

As of 9am Stixx and Sharons Springs still in it. Somebody has to give it up for the 75 Sawnee Mountain Thunder. Played 5 games yesterday, beat the Seminoles and lost to the 4 seed 2-1. Check the brackets out and watch the run, awesome job!!!!

Wednesday at Cooperstown is like a Sunday at a major golf championship. One and Done raises the intensity level and you can hear roar after roar coming from different parts of the complex. I get chills just typing that.

It's been two years now and we still talk about that week. Easily the highlight of my son's travel career so far, including the tournaments that his teams either won or finished second in.

The top 15 seeds all made it to the sweet 16! The only lower seed that made it in was the 49th seed. For their effort they now get to go against the #1 seed. Never seen it run that true to seeding before. For those that are going this year this is proof pool play matters!!!!

Another thing I noticed...all but one of the top 16 teams made it to the sweet 16. Looks like the pool play seeding actually works for once!

Top 8 seeds in the "Elite Eight". Nobody from Georgia. Still a great show of depth from the Georgia teams.

Wednesday pool games played well into the 2AM hour. Raines all day, but some how the fields were in good shape minutes after the rain stopped. It made for a very long day. The winners had to be back at it bright and early for the final 16 to sort things out. The weather was tuff with 2 full days of rain but all of the pool games got played. What a great little town to spend a week at. We plan to return soon just to take in alittle baseball.

GA Roadrunners take 2nd place! Nice job boys. Maybe one of their family members can tell us all about it.

Now its 10U week. I think Florida takes this one, I'm going with Legends Baseball out of Lakeland in a rout.

It was a great week for the Roadrunners up in Cooperstown! We went 9-1 on the week and had a GREAT time!!! Playing in the stadium is something that the kids will never forget. They might want to forget the score LOL, but not the experience. Like I posted on the 12u page the word for the week is PATIENCE! If you rush around trying to get everything done you will make yourself crazy. It is a slow week and it will all happen in good time, so enjoy. By the way I would look for one of the San Diego Stars teams and Beaver Valley to be in it late on Thursday.

Hi All -

Our team is up here in Cooperstown for the 10U week, but wanted to alert future teams so none of your boys are affected like one of ours.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE SHORT SLEEVE COOPERSTOWN DRY FIT SHIRT THEY GIVE TO ALL PLAYERS!!!

One of our kids got 2nd degree chemical burns on his back from the silk screen design. Our player had to sit out the first 3 pool play games. We've found out that in week 3 ten kids have had reactions, and 5 have gone to the emergency room like our kid. One of the workers told us yesterday that there were kids with same reaction in week 2 also so its clearly not an isolated incident.

If your going to Cooperstown this summer - please don't take a chance. Don't wear them, or make sure they get washed before giving to the kids. Its a long trip from GA to NY, and shame for kids to miss any games up here.

Otherwise - sure is TON of fun. Kids are having a BLAST and us big kids are too. Fantastic experience ;-)

They can actually wash it first before they wear it. One of our kids had a little reaction to it, but I did see one kid who had a severe reaction to it also and it was not pretty. Not sure if it was the silk screening because most of this kids raised rash was around his arm pits and his neck. You can just wash the shirt before you wear it and it should be fine.

Is the uniform jersey they must wear, or some promo shirt?

Hi All -

Its not the jersey but the dry fit cooperstown shirt, not the jerseys.

10U GA teams are doing pretty good so far.

Weather has been perfect - until today. Just started raining about 1p on last day of pool play.

BEST OF LUCK to all the GA teams at Cooperstown!
