Go to the web and search on VBRO...Best to contact owners directly and try to negotiate. If they have multiple units, they will deal - or should. HURRY UP

The field is close to state router 79...So look in that area.

A couple of years back we stayed at the Edgewater Beach Resort. It's a really nice place, but you need to see the villa before you get your keys. They have some that are updated with flat screen tvs and others with small picture tubes. A lot of them are individually owned and the owners haven't done any upgrades. If you get the right one you will love it. Walking distance to the beach and still close to the park.

We have stay'd at the Tidewater Beach Resort the last 2 years. We rented a condo on the 29th floor. You can actually see the fields from the condo. Last year I took a spotting scope and could keep up with some of the games when we were not playing. The Calypso looks really nice and is right at Pier Park as well. Can't go wrong with either. If you will be there for the 4th of July you are in for a real treat If you stay at The Tide Water get a room on the east side toward the pier because that is where the Fireworks will be. This tourbaments is getting better every year.

We have had great luck with Pinnacle Port on the west end of town, 7 minutes to the park, heated pool, as close to the ocean as I have ever stayed in a condo in PCB. They will work with a team on reservations/rates. 800 874 8823 Ask for Katrina Northcut or Bobbie. Tell them Frank from the North GA Blazers sent you. They have been very good to us, twice.

This is a great spot as it keeps your family away from the crazyiness that is present and is really accessible to the park, and the cost is good. You can access this property through individual homeowners on VRBO but you can work a group discount through the rental property managers as well. My suspician is that you will do just as good either way.

This is not a new building, which is why it is right on the water (waves crash into first floor of building at high tide. Recently renovated with new windows and doors, tennis courts, basketball courts, shuffleboard. The price has been right....

Good luck with blue. I think they were in-laws or cousins with our last opponent's coaching staff.

Last year it didn't matter. We played badly so the bad calls just put us out of our misery more quickly. Two years ago they kept us from getting to extra innings in a quarterfinal game with possibly the worst call against one of my son's teams in 10 years, fall and spring.

Somehow the boys and moms still had fun. The coaches? Not so much.

We went last year with the 10U Georgia Grip and our entire team stayed at Tidewater. It is a nice place but the elevators are GARBAGE.....but other than that it is new and really nice.

Been there 4 times, twice last year. Stay as close to the field as you can. Unless you want the teenage loud noise all night party scene down by Edgewater. There are plenty of places on the North end or the South end, not real big on N S E W. Close to the field and pier park is the best bet.

if you want a quieter atmosphere that is more family oriented..rent a house on the west end...Sea Crest Beach off of Hwy 30A. About 12 minutes west of Frank Brown park. Publix 5 min away. Drawbacks...if you want to go hit all the name seafood restaurants like Capt Andersons then you will have to drive about 25 min. Not on beach but the assoc has a shuttle you can call that will shuttle you across Hwy 30A to go to the beach. Also, if they stick you at another park to play(we had to play at a park off of 221? 321? which was a looong drive. But has the largest pool in N Fla, Houses are extemely nice.

Lower level condos are going fast at the Claypso. If you stay on the upper floors there, get ready to wait for elevators. Convenient, walaking distance to shuckums and pier park, and the new fishing pier.

I want teams to come to Panama City but think you should give the Grand Slam Tournaments a good look. They usually attract better teams and Grand Slam runs more events than alot of the other organizations that look at using the beach as a way of pulling in teams. My experience has been that they take better care of teams and have more knowledge to run a good program. The week of July 4th is the best week to participate because of all the festivities that take place. Larry and his group have worked hard with the Panama City Beach Council to make this event a top notch tournament.

Ooh! We stayed at Shores of Panama last year. Really excellent for families the pool is enormous and can handle huge crowds. Last year when we were there, the beach was so hot that everybody stayed in the pool. Great amenities, plus Pineapple Willy's as ATURNER said and an amusement park right around the corner. All the families from our team and the other 2 teams who were staying there loved it.

Shores of Panama is Awsome too....Waffle House in the parking lot. P/Willies next door, you can just walk from the beach. Wal-Mart across the street. Great rooms and one of the best pools on the beach. Some rooms have very limited view so if you like the beach/ocean view make sure you get a room with one. Pompanos around the corner.

I'd still go with Tide Water or Calypso. The elevator are always a problem in the mega condo complex.

I agree with Crackedbats, Seacrest is the way to go. We have been a number of times and stayed in a really nice, big house with 2 other families. We would even have the entire team over one night for a cookout and let them enjoy the extreamly large pool and nice grassy area. The coaches set up games for the kids to play, mostly with water balloons, and they had a blast. We did that 3 years in a row and will go back again if we have the chance.
The distance form the park is countered by not having to wait 10 to 15 minutes for an elevator at those high rises.
I think it is Beach Rentals at South Walton that we use.

Many of our families stayed at Splash Resort last year and we wouldn't particular recommend it. The pool areas are incredibly small for such a large complex and it sits on a very narrow part of the beach. I second the opinion that you should book early so that you can choose a lower floor unit. Otherwise you'll spend half of your time waiting on an elevator.

BTW, there are no batting cages at the park unless they've been put in since last summer.
