Just curious if any high schools are requiring returning players to participate in a summer throwing program? |

But seriously, I'm pretty sure it's in the GHSA rule book somewhere that high school programs aren't allowed to require anything, when not in season. |

Well HS my son went too head coach was always sending out emails saying something was mandatory. Morning workouts, dues etc. I emailed the AD didnt care one bit, I said he is breaking the rules, guy always made up his own rules anyway. Finally caught up with him.

There are always two sets of guidelines used:
"Required"/"Mandatory": If you're a starter/stud, this is actually optional-- don't worry, we don't care if you miss.
"Required"/"Mandatory": If you're NOT a starter/stud, this is actually REQUIRED-- be here to jeopardize your spot on the team next spring. |

Not a good situation....sorry you went through that. My sons school seems to go above and beyond to not even give the appearance if inappropriateness. |
