For the past year (it seems) the same guy named "Jules" calls my cell phone at least every few weeks asking me if we will bring our team down there to play in his tournament. After the first several calls, I asked him nicely not to call me on my cell but to email me....when that didn't work I told him that we were going to CDP so our Summer was already booked but maybe next year.....the next time I was very rude to him because he called me at 8pm as I was eating dinner and I told him to never contact me again.....then today, in the middle of a very important business meeting he calls again. Of course, I am glad that I now know to not answer any calls that say they are from Newberry Florida.
Are people really this stupid? I wonder if he thinks that if he makes me mad enough I will suddenly want to play in his tournament? At this point, I wouldn't play in his tournament if he paid us to come down.
Has travel ball really become so commercialized that we are resorting to telemarketers tricks to drum up business?
