On the topic of sponsors. Maintaining this site continues to get more expensive. My goal is to avoid the typical ways that web sites gain advertising. I get agitated when I am on a web site and have to wait while third party ads load and want to avoid that here. It has been suggested many times to become a subscription based site. I feel that keeps it from being an open community for the general baseball population. Over time I have sent sponsorship/advertising information to most of the businesses involved in baseball in the area. My thought is to ask those of you that get a benefit from the site to become advocates and suggest to the sports related establishments that you do business with to become a sponsor. They will not find any better way to have advertising focused on baseball/sports related consumers. Just have them email me at nwba@comcast.net. Tell them to list you as a referral and if they sign up I will send you a dozen baseballs.
