I know that all of you are trying to keep your tryout information at the top of the list, but please make a post and then respond to the original post with any additional information. From the feedback I am getting you are confusing a lot of people by making new posts with information about the same tryout. I am getting emails from people asking if I know which post is correct. I tell them they will have to contact the poster and get the latest information. I had to take down the listing of tryouts by date because it was impossible to keep it accurate as the information was changing so frequently.
Be cautious about the East Cobb postings because contrary to some coaches statements, each player should have the opportunity to be looked at by the Astros in ages 11u and above. This is the premier team at that age group at East Cobb. Any coach stating differently, or requiring players to commit before the tryouts may be in jeapordy of losing their team.
Just a word of warning to parents that don't know all the in's and out's and to coaches that may be new to the process.
If you have any questions about the process contact Dennis Jordan at eastcobbdj@aol.com
And be very cautious about coaches drafting you without your knowledge before being seen by the Astro's coaches just because you attended a workout session for their team. It happened to us last year.
Since when do 11 & 12 year old coaches and managers give a rip about allowing one team out there to be better than their own? I thought they only cared about their own! If its true, what's being pumped in to the water supply?
please, people! Get you kid the best coach possible and forget about labels & team names!
