Anyone have an opinion on this tournament? Looks like some real talented AAA teams entered which will likely make the jump to major next year. Gamers Blue have been on a roll but dont count the Select or Cardinals out.
We wanted to play in this tournament but was told it was full ! How does a sub-state fill up at 8 teams and not play on Friday. There are 40 AAA teams listed in the state. No wonder usssa is starting to decline !! We asked to join the 11U tournament and was told we could not.
I agree Moccs. I do not understand why we need a Sub State. At most, there will only be 16 teams play and try to get into the state tournament. 16 would make a great State Event.
I am a big supporter of USSSA but more teams are playing in other association. Why do you think this is?
I think it is easier to manipulate the points and rankings in usssa and a lot of people sandbag>> not everyone wants to play up to the talent. If you are required to play sub-state shouldnt they at least let you in the tournament? We are going to try and play some triple crown and east cobb tournaments next year or perhaps join a travel league.
I agree that usssa is in decline. If they don't change in the next year or two someone else will step in. I think it's a great opportunity for Nations, Triple Crown or even Grand Slam. I think the Cardinals will make the championship game.
Looks like the Cardinals showed they can compete in a tournament with several good teams!!! Tigers must have greatly improved to beat Elite Gamers and Attack. What happend to the Select-- they must have been missing some players.
No, we were not missing any players. We just had a BAD weekend of baseball. We couldn't do anything right and I couldn't figure out why. Most coaches in this situation would love to make excuses, but we just didn't play well.
Well that happens sometimes. I have been watching your team and expected them to make the championship game especially after the recent succes against the Cardinals. I was a little surprised a the Gamers Blue poor performance and the improvement of the Oconee Tigers.
