We played very well through pool play, our first bracket game and half of our second bracket game. Then the wheels fell off. Congrats to the Bama Bomberz.
Bandits beat both the TPSA Bandits and West Tennessee Wildcats in pool play and then the Helena Wildcats in Bracket Play before playing the Bama Bombers in the semi's. Bandits were up 4-0 and brought our ace to the mound that had not pitched in over 2 months. Long and short of the story is that we gave up 5 walks and a couple of well placed hits and 2 run homer by the Bombers put us down to the bottom of the 5th and time limit gone and the Bandits down 7-4. We got the game to 7-5 with base loaded and hit a bullet down the first base line. Ball should have been in the corner for a triple but hits first base and bounces into shallow right field where the 2nd baseman retrieved the ball and kept the game at 7-6 instead of the tying and winning run scoring. Next batter flys out to end the game.
We can't win them all but did go 3-1 against some elite type competition. Sometimes the other teams gets you and somtimes the game itself gets you. This time we ran into a team that made some great plays and played with a lot of heart and they beat us by playing a great game and then the game reared its ugly head and allowed a stationary bag to help out. You get the breaks sometimes and sometimes you don't and this time we didn't but the Bombers earned the win and our hats are off to them.
The very same thing happened to my son's team in Atlanta at the super nit. I know the feeling and feel your pain. I also know how the Longhorn fans, coaches, and players must feel after their games in Lake City. We recovered and have not lost an 11u game since then. I'm sure that the Bandits and Longhorns will do likewise. Let's keep playing good baseball!!

I told my son it was either you or Papa....I'll keep my eyes open for you guys from now on while were on the road. We Travel parents have to stick together while running these roads all over the Southeast every Spring and Summer. :) BTW we were not very far behind yall on Sunday, we got put out right after yall did. BL outlaws beat us 8-4 in the semis.

You are right about sticking together. It amazes me how many people we run into from the travel ball community. Did you notice the two stickers on the back of the Suburban?
