In no particular order, here's my top 4:

Team GA
Bay Bombers
Holly Springs
East Cobb Titans

I don't know anything about the NJ or KY teams but I hope they show and bring some good competition that we haven't seen yet.

Have to give the advantage to the Bay Bombers as they are proven, sound as if they have improved their roster, and I am sure have had weather which has allowed them to be much farther along right now than the rest of us. As far as the top four (in no particular order), here is my shot in the dark.

Team Ga
Bay Bombers
6-4-3 DP (whichever proves to be the strongest)
Holly Springs Express

I think that the Bay Bombers will be pleasantly surprised by the competition they will be facing. If they are expecting a walk in the park and I don't believe they are then they might get ambushed. Bandits have played all four and any one of the four is capable of winning the whole shooting match. Which ever one of these teams gets hot should do well.

Can anyone confirm ECB Titans picked up a stud recently? If the rumor is true then I believe ECB Titans will be a top 5 team now.

I don't know, but as I said a couple of months ago, this Coach (or Coaches) are tireless recruiter/s. 6 of 11 players are new from last year, and now this latest rumor. He/they get them from all over the place too which shows he/they are really working it.

I put them in my top 5 long ago based upon them having the East Cobb affiliation, Coaching profile, & recruiting prowess. I also liked what I saw last Fall on the field. If their chemistry gels, and they play like a team, our predictions could be right. Now its time to prove it on the playing field.

Looks like the major class will have more viable tourneys this year, so by July, we should have a solid idea of where they all rank.

No particular order...
Jags
Jackets Gold
Team GA
Titans

Bombers would be in my top 4, but I don't think they will actually come. If the 11U Astros attend, they would be in the top 4.

ECBRickyB: Why no love for the 643 Cougars. I will be sure and let all of you guys that jumped ship on this really good team that you left much too early. This team is skilled with great coaching and that is a hard combination to beat at any level.

I'm with you an this one PaPa. How can you not have a Cooperstown finalist in the top 4 of a local tourney? I won't name my final 4 until later on when I know who's in, but the Cougars will be in my final 4.

I think that too many people read much too much into the Fall Baseball. Some folks use it like it is the World Series and some use it to get prepared for bigger and better things. We lose sight of it sometime and I am one of the worse so I am not casting stones but we should remember that the game is about more than winning. 643 prepares their teams further down the road than most of us and I have noticed that they are willing to sacrifice a game or two in order to become a better team. My hats are off too them.

I can tell you that the Bombers are coming to this tourny. We came last year and got snowed out but we still came and spent the night in the motel.

As far as the final four I can't even start to name a list. I hope that we could be in the F4 but with the talent that Ga. has who knows. I will say that I was real impressed with the way Team Ga. looked in the "FALL" and do expect them to do well all year long but some teams get hot when other teams are not. I'll just be glad to get to compete with all of the good teams Ga. has to offer and walk around and talk to all of the parents that have always treated me and my son so good while we were there. Good luck to all the teams in this tourny and I hope we can give all of you the competition that you are looking for.

Papa, thanks for posting this. There is a lot of truth to what you have said about Danny and how he manages his teams. This is why I did not put them in my top 4 for this tournament. I think they will be focusing on other goals than winning the tournament.

Papa I couldn't agree more! They didn't get caught up in all thr hype about Team Ga when they played in EC. I saw 643 play Team Ga. They threw a diffrent pitcher every inning, and moved kids around for work. To me they really don't have to prove anything. 643 trains and prepares their teams like no other. I know this team is better than what I saw during this game. Fall is fall, and spring will be another chapter.

With all this rain it might come down to who can run faster in flippers.

I wish the Bandits were playing 11's then because I can promise that we have the fastest flipping flippers that have ever flapped around the bases. Papa is tired of the rain and I want to see some sunshine. At one of the Bandits meetings it was brought up to Coach Troy that we shouldn't play in temperatures below 50 degrees but Coach Troy rained on our parade and said when the umpire yelled "play ball" that the Bandits would be like the US Postal Service in that neither rain, sleet, snow or cold weather will keep us from our appointed rounds.

baseballpapa....you are right, the Cougars have talent and are well coached, but I think other teams have caught (and possibly passed) them. This began last year. I know you have vested interest in the Cougars, but how come we don't see you post about them on the 13U discussion?

bmoser....you would think that a Cooperstown finalist (that has beat by several local teams) would be going to the Super NIT to play with the big boys instead of playing in a local Triple Crown.

Don't get me wrong, the Cougars are a great team, but not necessarily always a top pick.

Coach would rather his 13U team do their talking on the field and has slapped a muzzle on Papa. I will say that I have a ton of respect for the way they run this 643 organization and had this respect long before Grandson #1 joined them.

And none of us will know who has passed who until we begin to get it on between the lines and that is exactly why we play the game.

ECBRickyB:
I'd like to see 6-4-3C in the S-NIT too. Its still early on, and they still could play both the Frost and the S-NIT. I'm sure TC would allow them to apply their 3-19 fee to another event.

Others have caught up in some respects, but defensively, they are solid, and they don't beat themselves. I think they are vulnerable to being overpowered though.

I'm sticking with them in the final 4. If they cant get to the final 4 in this one, I'll write it off to the academy spreading its resources too thin. How many players/teams can they develop given their current capacities? They might be feeling for this balance point right now as they grow.
