Okay, $7 yeah, pay money. We get it! Now back to the topic. The left side of the Gold Bracket is Loaded!!!!! ECB well represented in the Gold. Silver bracket has some talented teams and great match ups as well. This thing is wide open and the wood bats are a tremendous equalizer. Super idea for this to be a wood bat tournament. As many have stated in the past, it would be great if we had more high caliber wood bat tourneys. This has been the best updated and communicative tournament all year. I overheard one out of state coach say, " This is baseball heaven!" |

Thanks for the post about the bats. I was wondering if the wood bats brought baseball back to the "game" of baseball, instead of a homerun festival. Maybe just maybe U-trip and others will take note and do more tournys with a wood bat format.

Caught a few games yesterday as a FAN and the teams I watched and heard buzz about are in no order. As for the gate fee it is worth it to watch some competitive baseball.
Carroll Co. Lions fundemantally sound Georgia Select Red like nite and day from last year and earlier this year Home Plate Chilidogs-Dyal talk of the weekend EC Spartans - undefeated in tough pool; saw shutout and they were dominant; pitching depth may allow them to go far Dirtbags 12U Stealth the word is they are improved did not see them play Viper Baseball Academy strong defense and pitching

Gate fee.....Blah Blah Blah. It is what it is. Let's play ball. Who is the favorite? Which team is going to show up on Sunday and Monday?

No gate fees at rec parks and usually only $3 gate fees for all star tournaments, you have other options, its not mandatory you play travel baseball.
Best run, most evenly matched pools, best communication, no hidden format changes, wood bats, TD on site and VISIBLE to answer any and all questions, it just doesnt get any better, wish we played in 10 of these a year. Btw, trash cans are on both sides of every bleacher, use them and we wouldnt have trash in the stands.
Hamrock, I had a feeling the guy was mis-representing your team, not many people on here just come out and say who they are associated with, especially like he/she did. That was a no brainer. We all know your team and what you guys have stood for the past 5 years, no need to stoop to that level with him/her. There’s always gonna be those few. |

This is THE most well run tournament. I almost wish no one would respond to the negative posts. There is always something to complain about, but if a negative experience is what you are walking away with after the so many positives these past several days of PHENOMENAL 12U baseball, there's not a "$&8)54:" thing anyone can do to please you.

Alpharetta Titans looked strong over the EC PRide. Good pitching and defense. |

tournament has been ok, scoreboards not working is a little hard to get over no matter who's they are. No excuse, get em fixed east cobb! Looks like RBA Titans finally got over the hump and beat the braves today, woodbat tournaments are nice change of pace. |

Does this make Stealth the top team in Georgia? These past 2 wins are nothing but impressive considering the number of top teams in each one. |

No doubt about it. They are dominant. Will be nice to see how they do in C-Town. Since March this team does not look like they did previous. They have accepted the challenge and have improved thanks to hard work and superb coaching. |

For all the talk and chatter about bathrooms, scoreboards and high gate fees…What an exhibition of baseball! Mike, Chris and the rest of the ECB Braves you put on one of the best tournaments in recent years. The wood bat format truly lived up to the idea of letting the boys play “old school baseball”; hit & runs, fundamental sound defensive, aggressive pitching, etc….wow it was fun to watch. Tip of the hat to all the teams for putting on a great show, especially to the 4 teams that were able to endure/outlast this incredible field to make it to the final four on the gold bracket. Some of the best games I have seen in a long time; Giants vs. Astros; Braves vs. RBA; Thrashers vs. TPSA; TPSA vs. NC Indians; RBA vs. Stealth, Spartans vs. 643, etc. ….Stealth congratulation on taking home the championship!

not sure the cc bulldogs were the team to pick in that pool. good team but just weren't a factor this weekend.quote: Originally posted by BravesFan
sorry boys, been busy with work and haven't been able to make the big contribution to the board as usual. here is who I think wins each pool.
A - Braves B - Astros C - CC Bulldogs D - FL Pokers E - Tampa Threshers F - Dirtbags G - Stealth H - Alpha Titans I - Rays J - UBC Venom K - TPSA L - Jax Blue Claws
Not a big woodbat fan but usually scores are lower and teams that can play defense and manufacture runs will win, got to go with the host team as the favorites. Watchout for the dirbags tho, they won't have the big boy with them but they are still very good.

Instead of focusing on all the negatives from what was in reality a great run tournament, I would just like to congratulate The Stealth for another impressive run to the title. This team is obviously hitting on all cylinders and playing some great baseball and I for one would like to tip my hat to their accomplishments instead of complaining about the tourney. Overall, great baseball, well run tourney, beautiful weather and at the end of the day it is about the 12 year olds out there playing the game they have grown to love. |
