Haven't seen anything posted on this tournament at all tournaments park, got a field of 16 AA & AAA teams. I like me some Roswell Green to win it all over North Gwinnett.

Does anybody hear besides Roswell, N. Gwinnett, Stars and Phillies have a chance at winning the gold bracket? Looks like teams all the way from AA to Major to me in this one. |

Storm baseball and SMASH are solid teams, could make a run. I like these tournaments, as with TC, where you have a soild bunch of 12U teams. Everyone complains about USSSA rating systems, etc. However, everyone refers to teams by the USSSA ratings. I don't see AA-Major, I see a solid 12U tournament, solid teams and coaches. Just my 2 cents. |

Think smash can win it all as they have a history of being able to come up big against top competition but the question is can they do it in a 2-3 game stretch?

Diablos Played a great game and beat us straight-up. They pitched their best and we didn't. They held us in check all night. Lesson learned, we'll bounce back. |

U-Trip pitching rules 3-6-8. Diablos hit 1, Smash hit 1. Both legit |

We don't have a best pitcher. We have 4-5 that could be either on or not. For once they were on at the same time. 12U gotta love it. We usually don't get outhit, it is the walks that doom our team, but I am okay helping the kids learn to pitch and overcome the walks even if it means we lose more games. I was proud of my guys, they hit some good 2-2 and 3-2 breaking balls which make me proud. |

I'm surprised only one HR each. Now, those are small fields, especially field #1. |

Every team and coach at this level has a pitching rotation which he could rate from 1 to 7. A "depth chart" if you will. This doesn't mean they always pitch to their potential but there is a certain pecking order. I would venture to say the 6 foot 200lb kid for Diablos is a the top of their rotation. He blew the fastball by us. I made the mistake of throwing my #5 and #6 trying to conserve pitching. It backfired. Good win for the Diablos! |

Diablos with a huge win this weekend, not many were picking them to win it but they played really well in a tournament filled with some good competition. I would of thought wood bats would have been more appropriate considering the size of the fields but as they say, you both have to play on them.

Haha not many picking them...No one would, and it was justified. The boys really came together and put up over 30 runs in our last 3 games, while the pitching didn't walk many, and my flame thrower showed up for 4 games. I was really proud of him and the team. |

Congrats Scott. We we're looking forward to pitting our "out-of-state, high school players" against your's in the 'ship but Smash played a great game and deserved to beat us. |

I was disappointed with the sportsmanship this weekend. I was shocked to see a "Major" team acting the way they did. Hopefully Stan lets this post go through because it really needs too. We had multiple families from different teams come up on BEG us to win the game. |
