Alpharetta Titans Homeplate Chilidogs Elite Gamers Red Parkview Panthers
I wondered where these teams were playing this weekend since there not in the Slugfest. Parkview might be in a little deep with this competition?
Any thoughts? |

I watched Parkview play Norcross in their tourney and they lost a 5 run lead to lose the game 10-9. Seen them play plenty of A, AA and AAA teams but not any Majors. This is based on USSSA records only playing A, AA. Not so sure they are"Major" team. |

I have seen all three teams play at least one time throughout the years and I would have to say they are all pretty good teams. Based only on the USSSA points system I will also go with the Homeplate Chilidogs. The only question I have is why are these 4 Major teams not playing in Slugfest? |

Titans are the best of these 4 teams ..... Gamers Red and Chili are pretty close..... 1. Titans 2. Gamers Red 3. Chili 4. Panthers |

I think it will depend on whether these teams play to win or just use the round robin as a practice for the upcoming Super NIT. |

Pretty good idea, instead of jumping in a tournament to get work. |

That's exactly what it is Traveldad. Got some arms that have been sore, so thought this would be a good chance to get some work in without having to throw extra on Sunday. |

How many teams go out to win a round robin? This is a situation where all kids will bat and you will use this time to get some AB's and develop secondary pitchers, can't simulate game speed in practice so this is the next best thing. |

Gwinnett,
Wanting to win and playing to win are two different things, if you are turely wanting to win then your team approches it as a tournament game, play 9 and pitch your top kids 3-4 innings. Now will these teams do that?

There's many ways to skin a cat, I mean win a game. No need to bat nine if you can win batting 12???? Sounds like more of a challenge? With only three games to play I suspect each team might bat all and change pitchers every 2 innings. If you can win under these circumstances just think how you might do in a championship game, 6-8 games in - batting 9 with your ace pitcher?

Wow! Congrats Parkview. Winning 2 out of three. And you were worried about being moved to major? Good luck next weekend with team FL. |
