For a fall tournament that's a competitive group of teams, blackhorse are major out of TN and Select was as hot as anyone late last yr. Not sure who Augusta elite or the rebels are, mocs can be as good as anyone depending on who they bring up north. Not many cupcakes and everyone in one bracket should be entertaining.

Actually, only the ec braves brought back more players then we did. We did lose 3 of our most talented players so we will see if can compete at the major level next season. |

I was referring to teams out of east cobb, too many other teams and players to keep track of. As far as sandbagging, we lost our starting 1B, 2B & SS so those are all difficult positions to replace but we will see what we have shortly.

not so fast my friend, the list is still evolving into a very good group. Did some poking around and it turns out this rebels team is a wolf in sheeps clothing, turns out there are like 9 EC Braves on the team with a couple of stud players from another major team so dont think they are playing fall to show up and lose.
I like the Rays, Rebels, Longhorns and Middle GA in the semi's but too early to call a winner since the easy money would be on the rebels. 12 AND UNDER DIVISION: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Wow . Sure is a lot of competition for a fall tournament. Moccs havent picked up a bat or glove in since the Summer. We will be missing ss/and two pitchers due to football so hopefully their will be a silver bracket. We usually/always play to win but honestly this weekend will be used as practice. There are so many good teams in this tournament that it will be hard to pick a favorite...definiely a major tournament. |

Bravesfan, you know I have to goose you on this post. I think we all know you are a Raysfan in Bravesfan clothing. Yes you are correct that some but not all of the Rebels are ECB Braves(BTW, not sure how you came up with that info because I didn't know exactly who was playing until this past weekend). But no, we don't expect nor will we make every effort to win this event. That will be evident by the way this team is handled over the weekend. Plus, since I will be the one managing the team the Rebels will be the most disadvanteaged squad in the tournament. Tips are welcome

Will the Rebels coach be sporting a bluetooth while coaching 3B and a polo shirt with the collar flipped up?? |

Chris, I would make the lineup in alphabetical order to make things easier . It would also be wise to allow each of your players to switch hit for the first few innings. Then finally I would keep my pitch count real low (say 12 pitches) to protect those young arms. I hope these tips are helpful.

ECBBraves, The Rebels/Braves are one of the few elite teams that can rotate kids or even pick them randomly and still keep a very good AAA team to 2 runs. For an example, your RF would be most teams SS so is it really a stretch to think it will matter much at all? That is just a benefit of having an athletic team top to bottom, no secret in the design, most try to copy success but few can replicate the results or execution.
This is the best group of teams so far this fall, too bad other teams couldn't or wouldn't play in it. As always with triple crown, pitching depth will be key as most teams will need to play 4 games to make it to the ship. |

glad there is only one bracket, takes the pressure off to make the gold one. Someone told me that HP Chilidogs have a good team and have been undefeated this fall so don't discount those guys. |

I had a feeling the rays would win this one, the stars were aligned for it to happen. Now, win triple crown state and you have the makings of a dangerous team come spring. The playing field at EC will be more level then ever, there will some good games with the four big 4 major teams. |

I agree the Rays look like the new ECB POWERHOUSE! We played them this weekend and they are a solid team and hard to beat. But its a good thing, it will give some of the "good ole boys" some competition. |

They Rays were a top 3 team last year so I don't really think they have come out of nowhere as a dominant force?? Maybe that is just me, also the Rays did travel out of state a couple times last season if I recall?? They were one of my favorites to play last year as they always fought til the end regardless of the score, they have a lot of talent and are well coached....I'm sure they will have another successful season |

I agree with sparty some and that is odd. Top 3 might be pushing it but definitely top 5, i like to use head to head comp vs. other teams people say are top to determine who is who. imho, this where I think the top teams finished last yr.
1) Stealth - beat every team in the top 5 2) Braves - 0-1 vs. stealth keeps them from the top spot 3) Horns - owns wins vs stealth and braves 4) Rays - not being able to beat braves or stealth keeps them #4 5) Shiloh - this was s tuff one for me, grays deserve some pub but seems like shiloh had more wins vs top 4. |

RaysFan/BravesFan, I was talking about the top 3 with ECB teams.....Agree with your top 5, I think the Rays are a little better top to bottom than Shiloh or the Grays but I think all 6 of these teams can beat each other at any time.... |

Shiloh beat EC Rays 2 out of 3 times, beat EC Braves 1 out of 3 times, beat EC Longhorns 1 out of 1 time, beat GA Greys 1 out of 1 time and never played Stealth all season.

BravesFan, based on your method of determining top 5 or 6 Shiloh would be above the Rays because they beat Braves once and beat Rays 2 out of 3 times right??

Based on who beat who, & how many times my opinion is:
1) Stealth Bombers & EC Longhorns -- even record thrghout spring 2&2 2) EC Braves -- according to BrvFan lost to Stealth 3) Shiloh Titans -- proved they can beat a lot of teams 4) EC Rays -- record against other three above not as good 5) A number of teams could take this spot
