Shoot outs are tough, most are like 45 mins games and it puts pressure on you to score in the 1st or 2nd inning or lose the game since most only go 2-3 innings. With that said, picking a winner in these type events are a crap shoot. I will go with Sportsarma to win this one... |

These will be full games. I assume 90 minutes, at the very least. They have split the field into two separate groups. Five teams per field for a whole day means you can easily fit the 6 games needed into a single day. Still, the pressure is on to win both pool play games. We're playing in it, but it's just the fall. Hoping to get as many kids on the mound as possible. The only real incentive to win is to get the extra game's worth of practice.

| How does this tourney work. Do all teams advance into single elim after pool play. Who advances and how is it set up. |

| Top two teams from each five team group will play for a championship. So there will be two champs in the 12u age group. |

| West cobb warriors won one side of bracket and roswell hornets the other. Not sure why these two didn't play each other. Probably because of time limitations of a sunday only tourney. A friend of mines son is on the 11u Diamond Dawgs that lost to the hornets in the final and he said the DD threw their ace at them who is supposedly very good but that the hornets hit him real hard. Guess thats what you get when trying to play up--the 11u DD are very talented though--love that they played up and gave it a shot and at least they made it to 'ship. My buddy said the hornets look like a player in the 12u division--can't wait for the spring season.... |

I watched alot of the games at WF and here are some results:
ECB beat Nationals
ECB beat WF
Smash beat Nationals
WF beat NG Bulldogs
NG Bulldogs beat Smash
tie breakers meant WF played ECB in championship
ECB won 1-0. Tough game. Defensive gem. |

| Fun tournament. Didn't realize there were two brackets. Roswell has 2 12u teams now, but the team that played this past weekend seemed to be core group from last year's team, but with 4 or so new kids. They the ball well top to bottom of lined up. Should be a competitive AAA team next spring. |
