Also try taking a look at the rosters for these teams. I never get how you can add a player from a frozen roster just in time for a tournament like this. I am convinced you have to be a contract attorney to know all the ins and outs of of USSSA rules:) Shame Sandtown didn't seek out a few more SNIT's since it appears there entire team is in the tournament anyway. I am also curious how the the big boy from the Titan's Spanish is since i see he is playing from a team from PR......

You mean a player from EC playing for Puerto Rico? Tournament appears to have gone with international reinforcements. MBA has 2 superior pitchers from the Dominican Republic. One of them supposedly is unhittable.

That is why there is a problem with all these rules, let these boys play!!! There was a possibility the Bandits could miss the Elite 32 being the best team in the country, but a weak AAA team that gets run ruled the first 2 games finds a way in?!?!?!

One of the AAA teams should be careful what they wish for. They get the Bandits at 2 today.

Sounds like the other teams need to bring hired guns to try and beat the Bandits. Would love to see some of these games.

Didn't the Bandits bring in a few hired guns from the west coast?
The great majority of teams do that. I'm sure the Bandits hired their guns to assure an elite world series championship. There is nothing wrong with that just like there is nothing wrong with hiring the best guns available.

YES an ECB Titan player on PR roster. The roster jumping is a joke. Even MLB has a trade deadline:)

How did the Bandits get in the same Bracket as MBA Pride Elite as a 3 seed overall after pool? Shouldnt have they been a 1 in another bracket?

It kind of puts a damper on it for me. I always thought of the Bandits as a local (or mostly local) team. But I guess if you can't beat em, join em! I would have liked to see just "their" team play, win or lose.

Congratulations to the team that has battled to the final 4 with no additions to their roster. Great to see teamwork, commitment, and confidence rewarded.

Are you referring to Team Florida or the Astros or the Rays?

I think that you have to add to your roster to make a run for the Elite championship. Most 12U teams don't have enough pitching on their roster to handle a week long tournament. You have to remember that these are 12-year old boys who's arms are just beginning to develop and we wouldn't want to over use them for the sake of a championship. You cannot win 8 ballgames in 6 days with a 12 man roster... just my opinion.

I agree it would be nice, but when you reach this level I think its smart to take a few more pitchers so you don't kill your aces arms especially when your competition is doing the same and you don't want to be at a disadvantage.

Teams have to pickup players when everybody else is loading up just to beat you. That's just the nature of it.

MLBScout was right about the pitcher but it was proved once again that it's takes a pitching staff to win championships. What he should be most proud of is the MBA hitters. This is one of the fiercest hitting teams the Bandits have ever squared off against and one of the best teams in the country. Any of the 3 games played could have went either way with the scores 2-0, 5-6, and 7-8. Baseball at its finest and I don't know that I can remember ever playing in such an intense series. I am so proud of my Bandits but I am also proud to have had the opportunity to have been a part of this tournament and had the chance to play the caliber of teams we played. Anyone will tell you that MBA and the Bandits had the harder road and the series had stressed both teams out. I know that a lot of folks thought with TB and TC and several of our other pitchers being done that we would not have enough left to deal with Team Florida. We knew that we would facing Team Florida's Ace and we also knew that we would not score a lot of runs. In my opinion PM of Team Florida is one of the top 3 pitchers in the nation and he did his job on the mound. It was my grandson's birthday today and he might not realize it for many years but he pitched the game of his lifetime today and I will remember it until my final day. I will freely admit one thing and that is if you put the MBA Pride, Team Florida, and the Bandits in the same tournament you can leave the fireworks at home because they will supply all of the fireworks you would ever want to see. Any of these teams and several others are capable of beating anybody on any given day.

I know that some of you disagree with the pick ups and that is fine with me. You can stay mad while I count my blessings that I now know 2 of the finest kids that God has ever created and Papa thanks both Bailey and Gavin for helping us out in this brutal format.

The biggest blessing this week and the biggest blessing that travel baseball supplies is a circle of friendship and friends that wrap you up and promise to stick together through thick and thin and the more thick you go through the greater the bond becomes and this group of Bandit players, parents, Coaches, and Papa's have been through so much together that the pieces have molded into one and I can't see the bond ever turning loose.

it's been over 8 hours since we won the Elite 32 and it has still not sunk in. My heart is still racing but racing in a good way. I love this game, I love these kids, I love this team, I love this group of Coaches and most of all I love my family and my grandson's that play the game with passion and that is all I will ever demand they do.

Since the Bandits are already qualified for the NYBC, does Team Florida now get the bid or how does that work. It would be nice to see big red on TV also.

Maybe Bandits should get their choice of which organization to represent. Looking at the NYBC pool play schedule, USSSA might be the way to go.

USSSA plays AABC (Sandtown?), PONY and Babe Ruth.

NABF plays AAU (MBA Pride), Super Series (Houston Banditos) and Dixie.

No offense to Sandtown (nothing but respect for you guys), but USSSA appears to be the easier route overall.

Unfortunately, this won't happen. NYBC demands that you accept or turn down the berth right after you have earned it. Once you accept a bid, your team becomes ineligible for any of the others.

NABF should be better because you will see MBA in pool, and assuming you both handle your business,it's a pool A1 vs B2, B1 vs A2 with winners going to the ship. Plus you two play each other last so if the other 2 teams in pool have 2 loses both will go and only see each other in ship.

So is Team Florida going for USSSA

Congrats to the Bandits. I know at the beginning of the season papa posted that he hoped that the Bandits could win more than they lost this year. I am glad to see that after a nail biting season that the Bandits were able to squeak out a slightly better than .500 season.

Thanks Peanutsr: I don't what our exact record is but I think if you count the Super NIT in SC and the Fall State Tournament that we have won over 100 games lost 2 and tied 1. One of the best years ever and we did it by playing in the toughest tournaments and Super NIT's available. I am really proud of these kids and their "Will to Win".
