I think they are 7-1 right now in the CABA and continue to play. Longhorns are eliminated.
Titans have noticeable larger players especially a few particular cases
Give credit where its due , Titans and Rawlings have been just behind the Astros the 14U Astros next then Longhorns , its about who you play and how you do.
Longhorns won 2 tournaments that the 14U Astros and Rawlings were both in.
Longhorns finished 4th in the TC Battle of the South. Titans were 2nd, 14U Astros 3rd, Rawlings 5th.
Longhorns and 14U Astros made it to the Semis of the WWBA Invitational @ ECB. Titans made it to the Quarterfinals. Rawlings didn't qualify for bracket play, but they were 5-1.
Longhorns made it to the Semis of the BCS Finals in Ft Myers. Rawlings went 6-0 in Pool Play and lost in the first round of bracket play. Titans had a subpar week and didn't make it to bracket. 14U Astros didn't play.
As Yogi said-"You could look it up."
All nice teams with lots of great kids and families.

Got it. You don't like the Longhorns. Duly noted. |

Titans beat 2 very good tems today, one from Chicago called the Sox, and the 643 Cougars. This team looks to have gelled and the coach seems to have taken the pressure off the boys and relaxed. A nice change for this team. The longhorns had a great year all around and they compete for sure. Again all good 15u teams |

STAR : Really I dont dislike the Longhorns I dont know the Longhorns but I have watched and listened to the Longhorns from the bleachers
That is my sole basis for the ranks.
Better, lets give props to Titans and Rawlings who succeeded well in their last two tournements & i heard Titans are still playing ! |

Titans gave the 16U Astros all they could handle today. They had them down 3-0, then 5-3, but lost 7-5. Looks like the Titans now play Team Georgia on Sunday. I saw the game today and they look solid -- there is no question some good talent on that team. Who knows, they may get another shot at the Astros. |

PASS : Yes they are awfully good but not quite at the Titans or Rawlings level
I do judge they are above the Longhorns level by a tad
My final ranks as the season is done and I will exit this thread : 15 Astros 15 Titans 15 Rawlings 14 AStros 15 Longhorns |

Stros#1 Titans Rawlings and Longhorns tied for 2nd depending on what time of the year you look at. What were the overall records of the 3? |

Astros only lost 3 games all season. Only 1 to a 15U team, the other 2 losses were to older groups. I believe they won over 65 games. They were loaded and won some great close games. Over 95% of their wins were double digit wins. They took on all comers, probably the best 15U team in many years. |

they lost 4...2 at the 16u WWBA and 2 at the CABA to the Schaumberg Seminoles. Was told Schaumberg brought in a pitcher for the finals who was fresh. Astros were missing a couple who didnt make the trip due to HS football summer camp. Still however an amazing season. I dont see how you cant call them the #1 15u team in the country with big wins at 15u WWBA and 15u BCS in Fort Myers. Not sure of final record but it had to be in the neighborhood of 66-4. Thats sick. |

this was my main point when comparing to others
dont never underrestimate the moms n dads support or lacking support of a true team concept its a factor at that age |

If this is true and there were no repercussions on the players:
The 15U Astros don't make their players pick a sport. I can think of a few folks that should get a clue from that. |

I don't think there is any debate who the best 15u team was. I am still puzzled by the reference to the "lacking support by mom's and dad's". I thought each team had good parental support. Keep in mind, many of these games are played during the week, during the day, all season long. Not every group of parents have the freedom to be away from their jobs to be at the games supporting their kids. That does not define whether a team is good or not. I actually did not think any of the teams mentioned had issues with parental support or with parental distractions.
A team is more defined by how they gel together, play the game, and the success they experience. |
