Come on. The Longhorns are beating the 15u Astros right now in semi-final game. They obviously are solid as can be. You can't rank them lower than second to the 15u Astros based on their play all year and right now. No way they are 5th. I have no kid on that team but give them full credit. They are playing terrific baseball.
Looks like the Astros pulled it out, but the Longhorns scored 9 runs against them after the Astros had given up 6 in their first 8 combined.
Looks like the Longhorns have made a good run in every tournament but 1.
Based on objective data you can't really rank them any worse than a toss up for 2nd and 3rd with the Titans, with the Longhorns having a slight edge. Not sure where Rawlings came from. Nice team, but what accomplishments do they have that would rate them with the Longhorns? |

Jong, Your credibility is shot because your are subjectively ranking these and not looking at facts.
I think you keep doing this to stir people up.
The better argument is probably:
The Astros are 1st, then the other 4 (Titans, Longhorns, Rawlings, and 14U Astros) are tied for 2nd as they are always right there in the mix.
Have Titans and Rawlings won any tournaments this year, though. I have not looked. |

ECB : humorous thought for sure but no Im not trying to stir up dont know many out there to stir
A honest outsiders perspective is what I offer , free of relationships or money invested
Since the Longhorns lost out today and again went no further than 14U Astros again I maintain the rankings
If it helps any there are others who share my opinions

I want to 1st say congrats to the EC longhorns and Astros 15u teams for having a great tournament, as well as the Titans who finished in the top 6, they all played great. We should be proud to have so manty solid 15u teams and great coaches at this park. Whos care about rankings and by the way us as parents are not qaulified to rank them anyhow. The Longhorns have been great all season long, Astros the same, the Titans have been very good as well, on any given day these teams can have a bad day they are 15. Who cares about ranking we are watching great baseball being played at these tournaments. |

Jon, the Longhorns didn't just lose to any team though. They played a great game and lost by 1 to the 15u Astros. If your going to look at it as a matter as how far teams go in tournaments then yes they longhorns would be tied with the 14u Astros but they would be ahead of the Titans, and Rawlings wouldn't even be close since they didn't make bracket play. Still having trouble understanding your logic? |

The Titans have won a 16u tournament, a 15u tournament CABA, and a runner up in the 15u, why have the Longhorns not played a single game vs a 16 year old team yet? 14u Astros are good PASSBALL! Rawlings is out of the running, ah the BCS is coming and we shall see, so if the Titans go farther in then the Longhorns does that make them better then? |

I think both teams are great. Longhorns are still playing in this week's tournament, so I guess they are better today. |

OK I must revise the rankings its not anything dramatic but its honest
Being at the BCS which is one heck of a tournement I watched lots of teams
Including the EC teams so here it is after all is done and congrats for Astros
15U AStros Rawlings 14U Astros Longhorns 15U Titans
Gotta say that the first two teams look + sounds theyre having a lot of fun , the third team (who wasnt in the tournement) they look very determined , the last two teams look + sounds like its not as much fun . Its like there is some kind of pressure and I felt it in there respective bleacher crowds too where I sat. JMHO .
Really hope to make that trip again next year if ya love youth baseball cant pass it up . |

OK. Hard to argue with an agenda, I'll go by the results on the field. |

I've got to give props to the SP Wildcats in their performance in last week's BCS Finals in Ft. Myers. They went 5-1 and whooped a solid Tennessee Baseball Club team 16-3 in their pool play. I honestly believe if the kids stick together next year and acquire a dependable, talented pitcher that they could be the sleeper team to watch. |

Will be interesting to see what if anything in CABA changes the rankings of the top 15u GA teams.

BAT: Titans back to 2nd on my list they are doing well in the last 2 16u tournements but Longhorns are losing in both tournements this week are 1-4
Then Rawlings who is 6-1 in the TC World Series then 14U Astros , Longhorns 5th
Just look at results |

Longhorns have had a great season no doubt, but they played all 15u teams and have struggled in the CABa 16u. Astros are hands down number 1. Looks like Titans 15u has figured it out going 7-0 so far and crushing again. Rawlings is in Myrtle beach playing. All very good 15 year old teams and all played well at different times. |

Rawlings went 3-0 in pool play at the Triple Crown Nationals in Myrtle Beach. Won first bracket game, lost second. Won first two games in losers bracket, lost 3rd and are now out. Went 6-2 overall. |

I think he means that the 14U Astros 1) Never saw the Longhorns, 2) Beat the Titans and 3) Beat Rawlings. I had to read it a couple of times to get that. Commas are your friend. :)
It's really kind of a pointless debate. From the limited amount that I have seen, but what I have followed, you could put the Titans, Longhorns and 14U Astros in a 3 team round robin every weekend and have a different outcome every time. Three teams with a lot of talent.
Haven't the Longhorns done it with a 12 man roster, or did they add as the year went on?

@Passball...if you want love on the 15U board, then why play down in 14U vs. playing the entire season at 15U ...or as you mention 16U as well ? 15U teams under discussion played 15U ALL season long and did not bounce down to 14U. They played each other week in and week out so I'm confused on why you insist that a 14U team be considered in this dialogue ? |
