Just wanted to congratulate the 15U Longhorns and 15U Astros on their Perfect Game ECB Invitational Tournament championships. The Longhorns won the 14/15U division in a close game over last year's champs, the Florida Flash. The Astros won the 16U division in another close game. Everyone knows the Astros are the best 15U team, but I don't think anyone could deny that the Longhorns have proven themselves to be the solid #2 team at 15U. I hope we get a chance to see these two teams match up against each other.
By the way, I don't have a son on either team. |

BUZZ: I have no relatives (OR FRIENDS )involved with any those teams either but have seen them play and will get a very close look this wekend maybe head to head .
Actually what Ive seen is that the Titans are clear #2 in the East Cobb 15 year old age groupings youve got to consider they play up in to the 16 year olds frequently rather than stay down in the 15 year olds
And Team Rawlings is on the rise they have the coaching and atmosphere and in stands & on field to be close to top in end , just watch everything . |

So Jong, going 1-3 while playing up ranks better than winning your own age group? Interesting perspective.
From what I was told the Longhorns beat the Titans 13-0 when they played. Even if you argue that would not happen ever again, it does add question to your assertion that the Titans are a "Clear" #2 team.
Also, I am a big fan of the Rawlings coach, (Great person, great coach) but the team has to prove out it's place as well. I believe I heard that the Longhorns won the two match-ups against them this year.
Just curious, from the outside looking in, it appears that not too many people want to give the Longhorns any respect. Respect should be earned. I guess the question is what defines earned respect.
I believe the 15U Astros have proven they are definately the best at 15U. It can even be debated they are the 2nd best team in 16u. I am sure they won't get the respect they deserve either. |

I have to respectfully disagree about the Titans. I don't believe they've gone deep in any of the 16U tournaments they've played in. They also have lost to both Rawlings and Longhorns the only times they've played them in tourneys and not practice games. |

I am not sure anyone is giving up on the Titans and Rawlings. It is expected they will be right in the mix every time they play. Where everyone shakes out (and really, other than bragging rights, is there any benefit to being discussed as #2 or #3 or whatever?) is all yet to be determined.
You know the funny thing? We are about 60 days away from all of this being re-shuffled again. The season will be over and tryouts will be happening mid-Aug. |

Don't forget about the 14u Astros. They crushed the 15u rawlings in the state tourney. they could easliy be the 2nd or 3rd best team in the that group. |

BUZZ: My feeling is that this weekend has given some answers and maybe some confirmation to the Titans standing @ #2
Lost in last inning of Finals game on a walk off hit beat Team Rawlings and 14U Astos to get there
Longhorns again didnt make it to the final game
Watched a game and half of Titans-they are second only to the Astros |

I have been involved with and witnessed many games so far this season with the bulk of them being at the ECB complex. I have to say that we are ALL fortunate to be involved with such incredible baseball. The 15u age group alone boasts talent that should make all of us proud. Regardless of who's #1,2, 3 and so on....there is an extremely large talent pool at EC and surrounding! Baseball is a great game and on any given day, the results may come out different. And with that said, we get to experience the highs and lows right along with these young men! I have many friends on opposing teams both players and parents and I can honestly say that I always wish for them well. The Titans, Longhorns, Rawlings among others have wonderful teams built full of talented young men that I have been fortunate to be a part of in years past. Those who play together today may oppose each other on the diamond next year. It all makes for one large fraternity that they will get to carry with them through life. My hats are off to all you 15u teams for games hard fought and memories well created! Proud to be a part of yall's game over at ECB - keep on playing hard as it's incredibly fun to watch!!! Personally, I think all you guy's are #1~! |

How about Team Ga beating both the EC Longhorns and the Titans. Team Ga went through the tournament with ease and didn't pitch two of their best pitchers. They have the deepest pitching staff I have ever seen on any level team. Looks to me like coach learned a thing or two from the PG tournament. He goes 3-0 in pool play and tried to win game 4 with a 5-6 pitcher, the top three guys never threw a ball. This past weekend, he pitched his best guy in game 4 against Sandy Plains, then saw he still had plenty for the rest of the tourney. But, what about those boys from Team Ga? |

Jon, the longhorns lost to Team Georgia and so did the Titans. I don't really understand how just because the Titans made it to the finals, it makes it conclusive that they are better than the Longhorns when they both lost to the same team. The longhorns also still made it to the final four. |

I think the 14u astros will win the 15u wwba! They had titans beat a couple of weekends ago if it wasn't for the one bad inning in the 6th. They have beat tgba and team rawlings in 15u state championship. So why no love for the 14u in the 15u division? oh let me guess they just a bunch of 14yr olds! |

Passball: think the Astros were up 2-1 in the Titans game -- not sure how you call that having them beat. |

Pass, I have lot's of love for the 14u Astros. The one main reason they won't win the 15u wwba is because the road will go thru the 15u astros, who may be the best 16u team around. I'd love to see that match up, but no way the 14's beat the 15's. |

The 14U Astros will probably have a hard time keeping up the stamina needed to get deep into the tournament after having the 14U WWWBA right before this, without a break. I am sure those boys are tired. I noticed they lost today.
Seems like Team GA, has had a couple games not go their way. That probably puts them out of the bracket play.
The biggest accomplishment of the day was someone scored a run against the 15u Astros. I guess it was bound to happen in this tournament sometime.
I was kind of surprised seeing the Dulin Dodgers get beat yesterday. |

Jong, Don't confuse quantity with more talent. Also, size doesn't dictate the heart and desire to win. It does not show skill either.

Jon the only thing that is obvious to me is that the longhorns are playing in the final four for the WWBA tomorrow and the Titans arn't. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say that when the Longhorns beat the Titans 13-0, the Titans might have been having a bad game, but overall nothing says that the Titans clearly stand out as the #2 team out of ECB. After this week, the longhorns have showed that they are for real and that they need to be shown more respect as being a top team out of ECB. |

Hey, looks like a collision course of the 14U and 15U Astros. TGBA doesn't have the depth of pitching that either one of these 2 teams has based on what I have seen the last 2 weeks. Dulins Dodgers looks good lost early but looks good. The 15U have only given up 4 runs this whole tournament. Beastly! Their twins have played 3 very tough games and held on to win. Who do we pick for the finals? |

Congrats to the East Cobb Astros 15u, East Cobb Longhorns, and East Cobb Astros 14u for making it to the final four of the 15u Perfect Game WWBA Tournament.
Great accomplishment for a tournament that started with 138 teams. |

Come on. The Longhorns are beating the 15u Astros right now in semi-final game. They obviously are solid as can be. You can't rank them lower than second to the 15u Astros based on their play all year and right now. No way they are 5th. I have no kid on that team but give them full credit. They are playing terrific baseball. |
