It seems from past years that several of the so called ranking powers for youth baseball appear to put a lot of store in the Super NIT's played across the country. And in the spirit of not getting left out of consideration the 12U Georgia Bandits have begun a campaign similiar to Sherman's March to the Sea" and have just won the Alabama Super NIT to go along with the Atlanta Super NIT and travel to North Carolina to participate in what some are calling the strongest Super NIT up to this point in Charlotte, North Carolina. We understand that a lot of the top teams from the Southeast will be there including the Canes, Dirtbags, Beaver Valley Red, the Virginia team and many many more. And yes, I know that the above statement will get challenged by the so called self appointed guru's of the posting world but it is just an opinion so I can't hung for it, Can I?

There is nothing like a good challenge to get your competitive juices flowing and the Bandits will at least be in the mix. I have close to 1500 posts and you go back and read them all you will find that my favorite saying is that if you want to be considered the best then at some point you have to play the best and Charlotte, NC is where the best will be this coming weekend. Wish us some luck,Georgia as we will sure need all we can get this weekend as we had several kids get hurt and go down this weekend but hope that we will them back this week.

But I know Doc and mlbscout will both tell you and they are right that the NYBC will carry more weight than most other years this year. I forecast a banner year for 12U and so far that statement has been understated.

baseballpapa's team always seems to find the strongest super NIT to play in and against the the top teams in the region. I would like to personally congratulate him for such an effort in promoting the Bandits.

We have played in 6 Super NIT's and 2 Elite 32 (10 and 11u) in the past 2 years. During that time (starting with the Bandits 10U Cooperstown win), I have grown to respect and admire what the Georgia Bandits have been able to put together. I look forward to finally getting to meet baseballpapa in Charlotte this weekend and my over arching goal will be to let him know our name. I must admit we've changed it every year but I'll be proud if I'm able to get Papa to write "Richmond Braves" vs "that Virginia team" after i buy him a cold drink in Charlotte

Just bring home first place baseballpapa !!!

That last Alabama SNIT championship score was a little too close for comfort...tell those Bandits to heat up those bats for this weekend.

Would you guys please bring the roof from the Georgia Dome with you. We need to put it over Cherry Park Friday night!!!! And while you are at it, bring the pretty gold one from the Capital as well. We will use it for fans to huddle under in the middle, so they can watch their respective game!! Come on Saturday morning!!! Drive safe guys.
