The 45s lost today in the ship, I mean semis, to the Astros. It was another back in forth game with good play on both sides. Congrats to southside teams, MGBA and Stixx, for taking their games on the road. I applaud them for getting out of their comfort zones and playing in larger tournaments with diverse, major talent. MGBA should be quite proud of making the semis. I would like to see other teams leave home to plate challenging competition. Thats the only way to truly know if your team can compete on a regional basis or if you're simply a local team capable of a good weekend run once in awhile. |

The Astros and 45's were supposed to be playing in our tournament this weekend but chose to pull out the week prior for no apparent reason. Would have liked to play a round robin style tournament where everyone plays everyone and then best record plays at the end. We even told them they could use their daddy's to umpire. haha. Astros seem to be the only team listed in the above top 5 "rankings" not accepting the opportunity to play in the Best of the Best being held at RoadRunner on the weekend of June 10th. |

Just a little hp joke smoke would enjoy it everyone knows if u don't defend the heavyweight title u forfeit the rights... are they gonna play anytime soon. After the titans knocked off the pride and astrid stand at 3-1 vs 45s and 45s sit at 3-0 against braves let's rank the top 5 at ecb |

Once you become champion, you have a 30-day period in which to defend the title, runnerup gets a rematch and then it goes to the number 1 contender, everyone else goes to the end of the line & works their way back up. Triple H couldnt "slay the dragon" last nite at Wrestlemania, Undertaker still undefeated! 19-0. chilidawgs still on the beach |

Not the same players in the game this year on here, so it's not as fun for me when I can't get my buddies all riled up, some have been forbidden from commenting and some have changed allegiances....Confidence??? hahaha...Let's see who is "ranked" where at the end of the year, you know, when it really matters (if it really ever does matter....hahaha |

I guess there is nothing definite until the check is signed and received but I have been told that there is an agreement in principle...there is only one definite no and that would be the astros. They must have other plans that weekend... |

We have invited the EC Astros, EC Braves, EC Colt .45's, Homeplate, and the Stixx. We planned on it being round robin with a 5 game guarantee. That way there is no "easier path" talk. All the games will matter and he hard fought. The top two team will play a best 2 out of 3 game series on Sunday for all the marbles.
Committed:
Braves .45's Homeplate Roadrunners
Maybe:
Stixx
"NOT IN":
Astros
We have now asked the EC Pride to be the 6th team and are waiting for a reply.

Hey Mike- When this tourney happens, it will be fun to follow online. Can you clarify the dates and location (Roadrunner field?)?

It will be at Roadrunner Field. Once we get the 6th team in we will post it. It should be a really fun weekend of good baseball. |

Skeeter, When I look at the records of the teams playing looks like the Astros have won all but 1 game. The only teams they have not played are RR and HP. |

Skeeter, I have gone back a year. The Astros have only lost 2 games, to all teams playing Except HP, in 2 years.... HP-they have not played them.
Look at records vs teams beaten. Look at record vs teams lost to.
Pretty Telling. I know someone has started this thread before. No one wants to go there. It is eye opening.....
My 8 yr old team can beat a good AA 9 u team. |

Itsbaseballtime: Not sure why one would look at at the last two years. This is an entirely different team than last year. Different players, different coaches. The 12U Astros only lost one game to a 12U Georgia team all year (tourney or non-tourney game) and played up because they won the Atl SuperNIT beating Roadrunners, MBA Pride and Beyel and after going to Tampa and beating the best there. Lot closer scores and a lot more parity in this age group this year in GA with HP, .45s. RR and Braves all legitimately in the mix this year; some great competition and great games left to be played.

Astros and 45s will probably play each other close all season. Astros are the top EC team right now but we still have lots of baseball to play this season. My opinion is the team who proceeds through the rest of the season with minimal parent/team drama will end up on top. Disgruntled parents/complainers/roster moves will affect how the team progresses and meshes together. Coaches usually figure out pretty quickly who instigates trouble. |

The Astros last year did not go down to Tampa and beat the best. The Astros beat Tampa drillers which was a AA team and lost to 2 other teams in the War on I-4 in Tampa.

Say what you Want. Astros didn't win super nit neither did 45's. So if I was you guys I would play my own age until you reign superior again. Which you may not this year, believe me noone is running from you just gunning for you. Good luck to you, hope you stick around in the 13's.. Just grow with your age and not your egos. Plenty of time to play with the high schoolers . |

Oh really? Tell that to the Tampa Crush (twice), MBA Pride, Orange County Outlaws and Dante Bichette's Team Clap Bat.
