On Sunday: Ga Yard Dogs defeat Bulldog Force Philly Stars forfit to ECB Longhorns Ga yard Dogs defeat #1 seeded Atlanta Angels 16-6 ECB Longhorns defeat Ga Raiders 6-3
In championship ECB Longhorns defeat Ga Yard Dogs 5-1
I watched all of these teams play. I saw the Yard Dogs play twice, I saw the Longhorns play twice and I saw the Raiders play twice. In my opinion based on what I saw, the Longhorns were the best and deserved to win the 'ship. They have a few nice pitchers and defense is superb. Even tho Raiders beat Yard Dogs in pool play, I still give the edge to Dogs. Dogs have some nice pitching, which is why I give them edge. Raiders need to lock down defense a little more.
Going into this tourney I felt like these 3 teams were hands down the top in the state. Coming out of it, I feel like there are a # of teams in the area that can claim the top spot. Should be a fun, yet interesting season.
It was 2 to 1 in the 4th good ball game between ECB Longhorns and Ga Yard Dogs I say Ga Yard Dogs better they just got out coach on base, pitching small stuff like that Good baseball over the weekend put the two together Yard Dogs all day
Longhorns beat the Yard dogs twice so I don't think it's Yard Dogs all day. I will take the team with better defense and pitching all day. The Yard dogs need a small field to beat the Longhorns so that there fly ball outs become homeruns
I say Ga Yard Dogs better they just got out coach on base, pitching small stuff like that

I Don't have a dog in this fight but when did baserunning and pitching become "small Stuff". Maybe the correct statement would be that the yard dogs are a good team but need to improve in some fundamental areas.
The small stuff is what seperates teams with similar talent. Details is what makes very talanted and athletic teams great. That is also the life lesson to be learned by these young men.
9U Kids should be playing on 200ft. That's real baseball I was at tournament this weekend in Dalton and saw aleast 7 kids from a number of teams hit the fence and 1 went over.
Yard Dogs the bset 9u team in ga I didn't say that the coachin was bad small stuff as in missing ground balls pop flys in championship game good ball team whoever Coach this team I love to play Yard Dogs one weekend
