These are my favorite ones, where you have an evenly matched field of teams. This should be a good one.
Acworth Warriors - Orange West Cobb Warriors Dacula Falcons Sandy Plains Prowlers Holly Springs Express Buckhead Sand Gants 643 Jaguars Oregon Park Arrows Ready Roadrunners East Side Tigers Kennesaw Generals |

Acworth would have a good shot as well as OP and Buckhead |

When is this tournament? Looks like a good one for the AA group. |

Don't kid yourself... Dacula belongs in AAA tourneys. No telling how many other teams in this tourney do as well |

I'll put my money on the Patriots after seeing them at the SNIT. Scored more runs than any team out there in AA. They did give up 24 but that's only 4 per game. Very solid defense and when the bats are working, watch out. Something about their pitching too, nothing to special but teams just couldn't do much with it. They are deep though. I think I saw just about every kid on the team pitch. Think Acworth was the only team to do any teeing off and that was the first inning then they shut it down but just couldn't overcome the runs they gave up early. They will want redemption next weekend I'm sure and my take is they will get it in the championship. This past weekend was close and very easily could have been the Pats and Nats in the SNIT ship. What's with the Acworth Blue team. Are they the better Acworth team or is Orange. They've beat orange twice from what I can tell. Roster looks like some old Kennesaw Mustangs guys. |

I have seen the Warriors, Pats & Arrows play, and I think all three of them could win it. Looks like the Sand Gnats pulled out, but they would have been there had they stayed. |

Acworth Orange is the first team and Acworth Blue is the 2nd team. That being said, the blue team beat us fair and square two times. Call it in park rivalry or whatever you want, they came ready to play and deserved the wins. We (orange) have played in 4 tourneys with 2 runner up and 1 win. We are hoping to move up and test the waters against AAA competition in the near future. Not sure if we are ready yet but we are looking forward to the challenge. I am convinced there are 5-6 teams (Nats, Votex, Patriots, etc.) that are in the same boat as us. We were basically a .500 team last year in AA and the kids are enjoying their hard work paying off so far this year. Our move will depend on if the kids keep working hard or if they get overconfident with the success they have had. Acworth Blue is a first year team with several all-star players and some from last year's Kennesaw and Acworth teams,. They have solid coaching, good kids, and good parental support. In my opinion they will develop alot as the summer progresses and be very competitive as 12's. Other than beating us twice, they have taken their lumps agains solid competition so far this year which will make them a better team in the long run. |

As head coach of Acworth Blue I would like to follow up the comments by DCC by adding that We do not view Acworth Orange as an in park rival. I'm glad that they are finally having some success. I would have rather gone the season without facing them. We have nothing to gain by playing them. Our main goal is to develop players and expose the Acworth Blue Team to higher competition. That is why We are choosing to play tournaments against AAA and Major. Teams. We will mix in some AA tournaments but Our goal is not to collect some trophies but get our players ready for the next level. |

Acworth guys, I didn't mean to create any fued by asking. I just wasn't completely sure but I thought the Orange was what's usually considered the first team out of that park. Most parks that have more than one team usually have that first team that is always generally better than the others. When I saw that the second team had come out ahead on two occassions, I thought maybe I had the teams confused. I'm only aware of how good the Orange team is which is pretty good. Hey, well all know any team can win on any given day. I certainly didn't mean to judge anyone there and definately didn't intend to start an in park fued. Hopefully I haven't and hopefully you understand where I originally was trying to come from.

M72- No feud between the acworth teams! Most people (me included) felt our park had enough quality baseball players to have 2 teams. Our Blue team (with dadof6 as the leader) is a class act and has a solid plan to build a program. Don't be fooled by this being a first year team, they have plenty of talent to compete and as their kids get used to playing a higher level of ball will be able to compete with anyone. And BTW, they have a female pitcher that is probably one of the top 3 we have faced this year at any level. Good luck to all! |

I know there is at least one team that is a very good AAA level team playing in this tourney... several others who could definitely compete at AAA. |

Who is the "very good AAA level team playing in this tournament"? Not questioning you but would like to know. |

Just an observation. Would never name names...and again...everyone has a different opinion of what level they should be...somedays AAA teams perform like A...we have all been there! I actually don't see anywhere on the website that says it is a AA tournament anyway except on this discussion, but maybe I missed it somewhere. |

Great job to all the folks at ATPP. They have done everything in their power to complete this tournament. Now let's hope the rain holds off and we can finish up the tourney tonight and tomorrow night. BTW this tourney was originally billed as AA/AAA but mostly AA teams signed up. |

No real shockers yesterday. It was AA baseball and anyone can beat anyone on any given day. |

Tourney cancelled. No explanation given. I thought we would be playing tonight and tomorrow to finish off. I guess fields just too wet. |

Sorry guys, we had a ton of rain over night and the fields are just too wet to play on today. We really tried to get this finished but mother nature won this battle, thanks to all the teams that came out to play. |

Mrr- Anyone can beat anyone on any given day is true but the fact that it was AA has nothing to do with that. I saw what I felt was an upset yesterday and you apparently just saw nothing more than AA baseball, whatever that means. Honestly ,I know what you're trying to say, it just seems you are stereotyping AA and I'm giving you a hard time for it. Upsets happen at every level. Just look at the NCAA March Madness. I'm not saying that you have to agree with me that there was a shocker that took place, just know that what you said can happen at any level not just AA. We're good though. Anyone else think it was simply AA ball or were there any exciting moments or upsets in your opinion. Heck, according to someone there were three teams that should be AAA out there. I would have to agree that there was at least two and one I mentioned after the SNIT. Better luck with this weekends weather.
