I don't know alot of the teams from out of state but I like the Middle Ga. Mocs. They know how to win. It sounds easy but there is something special about a team that just wins. Even when they don't have there beat day they still find a way.
I may be wrong but I think they win it.

Thanks for the vote bturner. I don't know if we will win it but we will play hard. I see a lot of good teams with good records in this one. We will show up, play and not change a thing. One thing I know is we have to get back to hitting like we were a few weeks back. We seem to be in a little slump as a team. It would be nice to break out of that next weekend. Looking at the teams, there is no way I would vote us the favorite. Good Luck Guys.......... |

You guys are crazy! Moccs no longer aaa and will have to make adjustment in major/triple crown. Ec titans-643 and red have got to be favorites. My pick would be NF Hurricanes if they stay In. Looking forward to watching the line drive team which should be top of aaa class with moccs gone! Oh did I forget to tell you that we only have 8 for saturday. Anyone willing to come to savannah? |

The Georgia Teams should do well in Savannah.
Moccs - North Florida Hurricanes went 2-2 in the tourney we played with them down in Jacksonville. I bet you'd do well against them based on what I saw. The Blueclaws were an interesting team too - they had a kid on the mound who crouched down and threw sidearm from his ankles!
I'm rooting for an All Georgia final this weekend in Savannah. Good luck this weekend! |

Moccs
It will be you and the Gamers Red in the ship if the brackets work out right. They hit the ball a little better and you guys field it ALOT better. Jump in the deep water and leave us aaa teams alone in the shallow end.
I will be pulling for you guys. Keep me updated when you can.

BTurner, My lil man was the one that close out the game. I can still see the 2 run jack that traveled 250 into the street. I look forward to watching you guys move up the ladder this year. I think you are one play away from winning 2 tourneys this year that we were in together. Keep swinging and we will see you at the park.
Oh by the way, we my need a life gaurd with us in that deep water. |

The NF Hurricanes I know beat the lyn haven team twice-- run ruled the southern sluggers, Cross fire and Blue claws. The Ec Titans and 643 and Elite Red have been Major all year and should place way ahead of recently promoted(?) Moccs !! We will hope for a good draw if there is such a thing. BTW- IS this tournament gold/silver after pool play? |

Hopefully teams will bring their true roster and not go out and pick up players for this tournament. Spring break is over so everyone should be in full force. We just want to see how we match up to the major teams that we would typically see in usssa since we were recently re-classified..Good luck to all and especially the Ga teams !!! |

I really think 643 and EC Titans will make some noise this weekend, both are due for a deep bracket run. |

Red should do well. Titans, Mocs, 643, rebels, hurricanes, and depending on which Blue claws team is best. Depending on how the bracket works out one of the 7 should take home the hardware. |

You must have the inside track on this one because your picks are definitely not the norm. Maybe a few of the teamw are going to pad the roster this weekend. LOL |

Claws win? gold or silver bracket. Not a fair pick. With three claw teams in the tournament your odds are better. I would be surprised if Red does not make second round. Don't let the Lagrange 12 under tournament a few weeks ago undermine the strength of this team unless however they are missing a few players.
We play the Jax Rebels and Green Machine on Saturday pool> Don't know much about either so we are just hoping to make the Gold bracket. |

No more blogs on how this one was going to turn out? Probably not, since 6 of 8 quarter final and ALL 4 semi final teams were from Jacksonville. Scoreboard Georgia!!! Add a few more teams, other than North Florida Hurricanes & Blue Claws Navy to the list of Jacksonville teams that play the game like it should be played...Congrats to the Regulators & CBC Riverhawks who played in the finals!!

I hope this isn't taken the wrong way but I don't believe this is the tournament where teams will say "scoreboard" to an entire state.....I would think these teams would have to beat the Stealth or Braves(more than once IMO) before they can have bragging rights over this state... |

There were some good teams from Florida (especially the jacksonville area)and the riverhawks beat us 5-4 and took second place. No one in my opinion was the dominant team outside or perhaps the Regulators. I ws told that this is the old Mizuno Glory team but dont know for sure. We took our ACTUAL team (no pick up players)and were proud of our play having only given up 12 runs in 4 games. Time ran out of our last game after the TD was called to answer a rules question for 10 minutes in the first inning without stopping the game time. Not taking anything from the winner who played a great game but would have loved another bat in bottom of 6th. I do believe we were the final Ga.team playing with a 3-1 overall record .. |

No offense taken. 'scoreboard' was only intended for the back and forth, leading up to THIS tournament. Obviously, there are other good teams in both GA & FL having had first hand experience with the Bombers and Florida Rays. That is exactly my same point. The greater Jacksonville area plays some really good ball with really talented programs, that got little respect last year and again this year. This is the second year in a row that many of these same teams made it to the final 4. Last year in 10U, it was all JAX with CBC Renegades(Riverhawks this season)/Blue Claws final. Bottom line...the reason why these JAX teams were at this tournament was due to the high caliber of the Georgia teams. Hats off to each of them. The play was competitive, exciting and a pleasure to watch. Thanks Savannah!! |

Moccs, Your team played solidly and represented themselves well. Regarding the rules question, I agree that time should have been stopped especially when the TD was brought into the mix. I did find rule 7.05(G) that you might find an interesting read. Regardless, a well played ballgame by both teams. The Regulators ARE the old Mizuno Glory and traditionally their rosters 'float' from week to week with a couple of players. We know all the local kids that play consistently. We have already heard that this past weekend was no different...the pitcher who threw 'lights out' 5 innings in the final, is supposedly from GA. Congrats to you guys and good luck with the remainder of your season. Hope to see you guys on the field, in the future. |

As a parent of one of the Regulators players, I'd just like to say that this is NOT the old Mizuno Glory team. There are (3) Jacksonville guys from the Mizuno Glory on the team. Two of these (3) players from the Glory also played with the Florida Legends. The rest are on the Florida Rays & Team Florida. All the players are from Jacksonville on this team, with the exception of 1. The majority of these players have been together since they were 6. Also, the Regulators typically play 12u tournaments, hence the reason for not seeing them in that many 11u tournaments. They'll be in Cooperstown in a few weeks (week #1). Sorry for bursting any bubbles, but I want to make sure everyone has the correct information regarding this team. |

No bubbles bursted here just repeating what I was told from a Jacksonville parent. Regulators looked pretty good but not as good as the Mizuno team I remember from previous year(s). What other tournaments will Regulators play other than Cooperstown and maybe we will get a chance to meet up ? I heard that is a great experience and hope to play there next year. |

Right now, the Regulators have nothing scheduled after Cooperstown. They are playing this weekend in Jacksonville to get ready for Cooperstown on 6/4/11. |
