As boys get older the easy wins are gone. Alot of teams can hand you a "L"

I'm confused why a team would want to play in a tourney that doesn't challenge them? What does it prove that you can go to a tourney and get "easy wins"? If your team can run over teams like that you should play up a class. your boys will gett better as a result

Guys as a head coach for Ga Select I would like to say no tourney is an easy win.. I really don't think selectparent has a kid on any of our teams. To be makeing comments like that one is crazy. Some people just enjoy stirring the pot if you know what I mean!! Its too early in the season for speculation of teams being challenged or not. Its feb and nobody has seen any teams play so that's an unfair statement.

Should be a decent tournament:
http://www.nations-baseball.com/index.cfm?event=general.gameSchedule&eid=47507

Have to agree, on paper, GA Select looks like the best team, especially after a very nice tournament win last weekend.

The Redbirds, Grip, Vipers, and Mudcats could surprise. It looks like the first tournament this spring for each of those teams, so who knows.

The GA Redbirds had a good tournament win in the Fall, beating a tough Parkview team, and should be strong.

The Mudcats had some wins and close games against some good teams in the Fall.

The NIB (formerly Decatur) Vipers beat both the Redbirds and the Mudcats in the Fall. The Vipers have a weak overall record, but most of those losses came in three 12U tournaments in the Fall--the only 11U losses were against the Shiloh Titans and WF Diamond Dawgs (twice--one time by a run).

BTW, it's early in the season so not sure anyone should have an issue with GA Select or anyone else playing a tourney that, on paper, they should win. I'd imagine that they're still sorting things out since it's only their second tournament of the spring and they would have had to sign up for this tournament before knowing that they would win last weekend. I'm sure they will step up soon if they keep on playing as well as they did last weekend.

My son plays 10 u ball but I rep Ga Select and went to watch our AA team and the team excited me with all that speed and the way they hit the ball. And they AAA team is good also and I am making a prediction which could be wrong but I think Im right.

I will be over on the 12u field, but my son played some 11u last fall. So I watched many of these teams play then. The winner will be whoever brings the least amount of winter rust. Being the first time out this spring for many teams, this could be more about getting any new kids comfortable with the team then it will be about winning.

-I do have my favorite, and will be in the stands for part of the day :-)

It makes no sense to me why someone would want their son to be on a team that dominates AA tourneys....If that is where your team is competitive then fine, but to just beat up teams that are less talented makes ZERO sense when better teams are available for play.
