Iam not gonna call out any team. I don't think the moderators like us to do that. But I will say look south. It doesn't make since why a major team would lose to a 10 year old team and also tie a aaa team in same tournement maybe its just me and any team could have bad day. But if a team is truly a major team this shouldn't happen. Please feel free to tell me if iam way off on this one. I just remember last year some teams were moved before super nit I think up and down. |

Last year, as I recall, USSSA went through a reclassification around Easter (after the SNIT) and moved teams up and down. I think I remember that their rules state they can do it anytime they feel like it but the one last year seemed like an organized reclassification because it affected many teams.

I wonder if the team in ? LOST any players? Do they have the same roster? Have they chosen to not pitch their better pitchers? I think the answer to one or all of these ? would settle where this team belongs... If they are proven to be "sandbagging", I would hope USSSA would not move them or any other team that does the same. |

Actually usssa did move teams up and down last year just prior to the super Nit. The Homeplate Maldonaldo was moved from major to aaa and Macon Cards were moved from AA to AAA. They can do it at anytime if the need arises. Although I wouldnt anticpate anyone dropping from major to AAA there are definitely a few aa teams that should move up . As for the Cards .. I noticed that they have signed up for an all major tournament in Lagrange in a few weeks. This should provide some insight.. |

Let me speak for the CARDINALS as most of you know I dont respond to these types of forums but I do want to clear the air for my team .I will never sell this bunch short but we are not a Major team I never proclaimed to be we were moved up after our performance from the prior year is what I was told . We are not deep enough in our lineup this is not a knock on my team I am very proud of them we simply have a ways to go to be where the other Majors are we do not recruit we have a recball allstar team that were outcast from other Middle GA teams they like playing together and their friendship means more than trying to keep up with the jones,s for everyone who thinks you cant have fun playing at another level besides Major you are wrong |

Nice post Cards. Have you tried to get USSSA to move you guys back to AAA? Never sell your boys short. You have a good team that can play up there and be competitive. I do not think you will be as dominate as you have been in the past playing in that division, but that is why they play the game. Have fun and I hope you do well.... |

Mccards,I was not meaning to knock on your team at all. Hopefully usssa will do the right thing and play your team wear they belong and would be most competive. With that bein said there is a downside to the schedule yall played last year. The gap between a true major team and a middle of the road aaa team is very large trust me most parents don't see it. |

Good Luck Cards. You guys are one of the most improved teams out there. If you feel you do not belong in Major keep telling to USSSA officials and see what happens. Until then, go give the "BIG-BOYS" all they can handle. You never know what will happen until yall get out there. |

Macon the reason your team was moved to AAA is the same reason I believe Shiloh moved on their own, it wasn't that you are a major team. It is just that you are better than the rest of the AAA bunch, I don't mean that to sound ugly as I believe you are extremely close to being a major team(can still probably give most teams a run!) but you have been VERY VERY successful at the AAA level. We played AAA for most of the year last season and while the competition is very different between AAA and major, most teams are just a pitcher or two away from being there.
Good luck to y'all whatever class you end up playing |

I don't think my post came out like I wanted it to. I think both Shiloh and Macon are major teams, but I think they have done enough dominating at the AAA level and playing locally. Time to play against better teams, it will make the major division and the boys on both teams better. Triple Crown offers a great mix of teams from all classifications. My only complaint with Triple Crown is the pitching rules, one inning IMO is not an entire inning pitched. Also, 6 innings over the course of 4 days really isn't too much for most 11U kids. |

6 innings over 4 days is a lot of pitches, unless your kids are throwing a lot of 10 pitch innings, which mine don't seem to do. |

Nice post coach Jeff. I second the fact that the Cards never claimed to be or asked to be a major team. The coach actually works around our LL schedules, which is the big reason people thought we were playing in 2 many weaker tournaments. We play when we can and where we can. The truth is we simply aren't built for Majors with the roster we have and we aren't going to cut kids loose just to add a few studs out of town. The boys are like brothers at this point. Can we sneak up on a few teams...sure, but it would take a small miracle for us to win a tournament at the major level. We play USSSA because we can't survive the pitch count rules in TC. Having said all that, I can promise you that these boys are capable of playing much better than they have so far this year. It may take some time, but we won't be a push over before long. |
