Alright! Time for some games!
Can't discount the Longhorns here - they proved during the fall that they can play, and will be good to see the new additions to the Yankess too. Some of my sons classmates, and former teammates, are on Andy's Nationals & will be fun to hang out with them over the weekend. I'd bet there will be a little trash talking @ New Prospect Elementary in my sons class once brackets are released this weekend.
Few teams have field time with the weather and rec leagues starting up @ parks so it'll be interesting to see how the teams play.
Good luck to all - and hopefully we'll get good weather next weekend! |

We still have two spots available in the 11U division for any teams that want to get in the event. Registraton closes on Sunday afternoon so we can get the schedules out.
Contact Charlie Dino at travelteams@sandyplainsbaseball.com or 678-462-0292 if interested.

We'll really need to play well just to make it to the semi-finals with all of these very good teams. I have a feeling the Raptors may knock off someone in the semi's so don't be surprised if that happens.
Also, there will be a pretty big event happening at the park n Friday night. Sandy Plains is having a dedication ceremony for the slain GA State Trooper whose brother plays on the 11U SP Wildcats. It should be a tremendous event. |

Thanks for bringing that up Tae. Lots of effort coming in around this event to be held on Friday night. I will post all details here. Should all be firmed up later this evening. Many members of all the Sandy Plains Travel Teams spent the day at Harrison today dressing fields and getting the park ready. Keep thinking good thoughts for good weather. All of the travel teams @ Sandy Plains look forward to hosting the teams playing in the Frost ... almost time to play ball.

Not the #1 team from NG, so they won't make the top four |

Thought it was Cleveland NG Bulldogs. Oops. Well if Shiloh Titans are in I'll take them to win it all. And I will take Sandy Plains instead of Team 7000. In fact, I'll say Sandy Plains and Shiloh in the ship.
Go Gwinnett!!!! |

S, our team is still rough around the edges...lol Our first good competition will be ATL super NIT. We will be getting around to some different tournaments starting next weekend. We pitched against Dacula 12u this weekend and gave up 1 in 3 innings. We look very strong pitching. Put in a lot of work this winter and by gosh its paying off!!
We all know a EC team will be somewhere in the top.... Just didn't want to say it...lol |

Okay, looks the pool game schedules have been released and there really isn't any match ups between the big boys but there are a couple of potentially good games. I think the Sandy Plains/ECB Yankees will be a good match up of similar teams and the Georgia Titans vs. the ECB Raptors should be interesting. Why? Because there will be some 1-1 teams who won't make it to the top bracket. |

Andy,
Actually, this is the time of the yr when you don't know what will happen. Like most teams, we are trying to get our timing down so I bet there will be some interesting games out there. I'm thinking the scores will be lower then normal even with the high temps. |
