We are looking forward to a great tournament and the first 11 under tournament for our team this season (usssa)Been playing 12u to stay local. |

I talked to someone at Parkview and they said they were considering this tournament... We'll see... That would make for a great tournament. |

Thanks for the pick Biggin... thank goodness none of my parents are aware of this site. Still too early to tell how this tournament will shake out. Several could finish strong including bandits- hplate-and the mysterious monarchs with all those points and a power rating of 1026. Dont be fooled by the aa beside the covington sting > they are definitely not an aa team and can beat most aaa teams on any given day. They have already won three tournaments including two 11 open and one 12 open. Only see 11 teams posted right now. maybe one more will add. |

Schedules are out.
East Cobb Nationals may win this one. I heard they played very well in TN. We play them Sat. so I will know alot more then.
My pick is Mocs and Nats. Both have jumped in bigger tournaments early and you will tell the difference at the plate.
I see alot of lower scoring games as hitting takes a few weeks to catch up. |

My pick would be Middle Ga. Moccs and Home Plate in the ship. A lot of good teams out there, but it is still early. Moccs have a proven track record and have been together for a while. Home plate, though a new team this year, has a proven coach and the best 11U players Home Plate has to offer. Don't sleep on the Chilidogs!
Heard ECB Nationals might be ok by mid season, but only two kids have played together before this year. They went 1-2 last week. Had some good moments, but beatable.
All of the teams are still trying to find themselves. It is anyones tournament. Great to have 12 teams trying to compete. Should be some good baseball.

I see some good picks here. I stand by how I felt earlier in the week. A few are high on the Moccs. I'm thinking they are a little over-rated, thats just me though. Hope the weather is good this weekend because I'm looking forward to breaking out the ole ball chair and watching some good games.... |

I dont think the Mocs are overrated at all. They are very solid and will be a tough out for anyone.
As for my Home Plate team we are looking forward to just getting on the field. We have called an emergency hitting practice tomorrow night. If we hit we will be fine if we dont we will struggle.
Dont let Sportsdad2 to fool you the Nationals will be the surprize of East Cobb! They may have went 1-2 but they played a Tn major team to a 2-1 loss on Sunday. That is strong I dont care who you have on your team.
The MGBA team will be fun to watch. I hear they run the bases like old Gresham Park teams.
Bandit Baseball will hit the baseball as well as anyone in Conyers and if they pitch and play D they will make Biggin look like a genuis.
I agree with Mocs about Covington Sting. They can play with everyone in Conyers.
I hoppe everyone has a great weekend. |

Biggin-- Unfortunately if Moccs and Bandits meet it would happen in a semi-final game due to the bracket. These two could not meet in the ship unless they fail to secure top seed in their pool. BB4life.. you may be right about us being overated but THANKS FOR THE BULLETIN BOARD MATERIAL I am sure our boys will have fun with that one.. LOL.. It is early and with 12 teams anything can hppen. Hope to see you at the park. |

I don't know enough about the other teams to make a prediction on which one will make it to the ship, but I've seen the Moccs play this season and expect them to get there. HomePlate should also make some noise so it should be a great event. |

Thanks Cardsfan. We appreciate that you have a little faith in use since you beat up on us in Monroe County. Hope you guys do well this weekend. The MOCCS are OVERRATED, OKAY........ The MOCCS are a bunch of 11 year old kids trying to play a game. I can say this about our team. The ups and downs of last year have kindled a fire in the coaches and kids to get better and compete. Last year was almost the last year for the Moccs, but as one of our players said after the Monroe County tourney, THE MOCCS ARE BACK.... I hope..... |

Great day at the field. The MOCS are as good as advertised. The ss is as good as any in the state. Buford may have went 0-2 but they will scare somebody tomorrow.
Ecb Nationals has a kid that will scare the bandits if they play @ 1. He throws hard and changes speed very well.
My HP team won both but if we don't start hitting we might be in trouble.
Didn't see the bandits. |

I agree with bturner about the Wolves. They are the best 0-2 team in the tournament and will work hard to make it to the ship. They will have a tough game against the Sting and Hplate. Didnt get a chance to watch the Bandits but may see them if we can win at 3. We didnt hit very well but defense and pitching held together. It may be hard to continue to play our 13 guys today ! Hplate appears to have the inside track right now but looks like everyone will be ready today. |

The mocs beat HP 9-2 in Championship. The Mocs are the real deal. They pitch well and field it very good. If anyone still thinks they are overrated go play them. You will not think that after I promise.
I saw the Bandits play they are a solid AAA team. Buford had a bad game against us but they will be ok.
The Monarchs are a good aaa team. Like most they didn't very good this weekend but pitched and played good d.
My HP team will be ok when we hit. |

Congrats to moccs they were the best team I saw all weekend. That kid playin shortstop for them is total package. One thing for sure those fields were to small for most of those teams I counted atleast 13-15 homers. Also another thing the defence on most teams strugled iam sure most of the coaches are pulling there hair out and some 2nd guessing there selves. also I was shocked that 1 of the fields was set up with the bases at 10yr old distance yesterday it realy affected some games. Now the wait is on to see when moccs get bumped to major. |

Great Weekend for baseball. We had some really good games with the Bandits and Homeplate with plenty of talent on both sides of the ball. Spartan we did hand yall a loss in the February Frost last year but remember that was one of the few highlights of our season. Unfortunately Little league will start the weekend of the Super Nit and we will be hard pressed to compete with at least four starters missing every Saturday.Still in need of a few quality players to make it through the long season ahead.(hint-hint-hint) Biggin -- Way too earlier to think about Majors. Next weekends trip to the Slugfest should put things in perspective!! |
