I came early and stayed way too late. I saw some excellent aaa baseball.
The Moccs did win and I take back what I said for this weekend. They have good pitching, solid behind the plate and can play defense with anyone. They hit the ball well and had about 6 kids hit solid homeruns over the weekend.
They are not ready to play in the MAJOR division though. The Moccs did not dominate any team and could have easily lost 2 of the games they played. They are a solid aaa team.
HomePlate is really good as well. Good pitching and hitting. Take away a few miscues in the field against the Moccs and that score would have been 4-2. Awesome tourney. We all picked we would see some close games and we did.

bb4life--Finally something we can agree on. Not a bad tournament for the division this early in the year. We are missing a few pieces to make the move to majors and we certainly didn't dominate any of these teams. We did play great defense and our pitching was pretty good with 10 guys getting a few innings.Otherwise we would have went home a little early. Having 13 players this weekend made things a little difficult. The AAA division this year should be highly competitive and wouldnt see any team dominate outside of perhaps the Sandy Plains team if they remain AAA. |

| Moccs,just wonderin how you work it once you lose 4 players. Do you have them all back and starting on sundays. I guess the big ? Is how do you keep all the parents happy you must have a great group of parents.by the way was tryin to push yall into major just think usssa might do it sooner then later. |

| Awesome Tournament.... I want to say, HOMEPLATE is a class act.... We were a little lucky this time around but I'm sure they will win their share this year.... Great coaches and players.... I hope the entire season plays out like this one.... Close, competive games that could go either eay.... I would also like to pay the umpires a little compliment. Even though we were the victim of a close call or two they did a great job. We had a kid get called out for getting hit by a throw from catcher to first while he was in fair territory.... Great call and a even better teaching tool.... I wish everyone good luck next weekend. Have fun and hit em hard.... |

Thanks for nice words. I was impressed with Mocs players, coaches and fans. I hate to loose but if we do I want it to be to a group like that. I talked to several of the parents and there love for baseball was fun to see.
Mocs, Believe me you guys are rady for Major.
How is the catchers thumb? He is in our thought and prayers.

It can be testy at times to keep everyone happy. Most of the guys will be back for the Sunday game. Our parents understand each childs ability and know that on Sunday we will try to the start our best players. The problem is that sometimes without a full squad on Saturday we will tend to have to play a number one or two seed first thing on Sunday. To be honest I dont think that the top seeds wanted to start Sunday out against our team any more than we did against theirs. We did win at least three tournaments in the last year after seeding at the bottom on Saturday. We always tell our guys its not how you start but how you finish. It is also difficult to practice because during the week our players are practicing with their individual Little League teams.
Biggin- I figured you were trying to push us to Major to eliminate a little competition.LOL. btw- never told me which team you were with? |

Iam with gamers black as far as eliminating competition not the case at all would love to play yall win or lose I bet it would b good game. Oh but I hope its on bigger field. On a side note if usssa did pools for super nit rt now accordin to points we would be in same pool. Moccs how is it gonna work when chances are you first bracket game sat nt of super nit. Look at it this way usssa has moved a lot weaker to major than yall I won't mention any names. |

Then you should know that elite gamers black was included in my top ten list for AAA this year in my previous post. We have two guys that have games on Saturday at 2:00 and two at 4:00 in warner robins. If it is a late elimination game then hopefullyat least two could make it. If not then we will make do with what we have present. Unfortunately in Middle Georgia we dont have 100 good teams that we could call and pick up any new recruits at this time. I have also reviewed the potential brackets for the NIT and you are probably right . I think we would have a tough pool bracket since several of the teams have yet to play usssa yet this season and therefore have no points. |

| We are in the same boat moccs. We will lose 3 for parts of Saturday depending on the schedule. Cards only carry 11 so it could get interesting if the schedule falls wrong. |

Lots of research !! scouting !! Talked to a few locals !! LOL
I am sure it is not a perfect science and of course I just made the list for fun. So far I think its a pretty good list. After this weekends slugfest and Super Nit it may have to be adjusted. |
