Sgates.. Adding our team to the Pool A would have definitely made it the weakest pool.. LOL. Not trying to take anything away from any team but if I had to choose to in any pool in that bracket it would have been that one. Of course we would most likely go 0-3 in any of the pools.. |

Moccs, what would be the circumstances under which you would HAVE to choose a pool? |

Meaning if we were playing in the major Snit and I could choose which pool to be placed in then I would choose pool A. Only 12 teams will advance to Sunday. Of course my statement was a figure of speech because you can't choose your pool. In AAA we would always be satisfied with being placed in a strong pool because when you cross over you would not face those teams until deep in the tournament. Since major plays three pool games and only about half make the cut I would not necessarily want to be in the pool with (what I perceive to be)all of the talent. This not not be avoid all of the best teams but to play them later as opposed to sooner. |

Those are not bad picks Gwinnett. My picks for #1 seeds are:
Pool A - ECB STARS POOL B - ECB BRAVES POOL C - ECB LONGHORNS POOL D - STEALTH
I pick the Central Florida Gators as my sleeper. They have added some high quality ballplayers to their roster for this tourney. |

We played Simpsonville and Elite Dawgs in a big AAU tournament this past weekend in SC. Both have very good, solid teams and I'll be surprised if they don't make some noise this weekend in Atlanta. |

I know 3 of the kids on the Central Florida Gators and I think those three can play with any team in the country....JMO but those 3 are STUDS!! Great picks Gwinnett but I just don't see the Stars losing pool A, I know the Shiloh team well and they will surely be there Sunday, but Coach Gates has put a VERY strong team together. Great pitching and hitting. |

If the Megastars bring all the kids I have heard they will then everyone may be in trouble. I still contend that a top ranked Major team that adds big time stud players can change the power structure in these type tournaments. Better make sure everyone has a Birth certificate for this one. |

Spartan4, I think Shiloh may have some extra help, check there roster :) They might have something for the Stars. We'll see.

WOW! You weren't kidding, looks like the Central FL Gators have several former FL Legends and a kid who played with Stealth on the roster. What's surprising is neither the Gators, Rays or Bomberz play each other in pool so those 3 will be your top 3 out of pool D.
Kudos to the all the top teams who have come out and accepted the challenge to play in such a top notch tournament. Let's go out and enjoy this one!! |

I looked at Sunday's bracket and say to myself wow! There are some major speedbumps everywhere. Pool A might be more manageable then the others but look at the potential match ups on Sunday, they get matched up with the top 3 from pool D which might be Stealth, Rays and Cent FL Gators.

I saw Shiloh's roster and it appeared to be the same. They may not have put their additions on their yet. If they add a stud pitcher it would help them greatly. It still will be hard to beat the Stars in that pool. With that being said it is baseball and we all know anything can happen on a given day. |

I do see Shiloh picked up a good arm. That will help them. This same player also played with the Longhorns recently. |

I think our pool is gonna be tough as well. 6-4-3 played the Braves pretty tough this weekend, and Gamers Red has been playing together quite awhile as well. I'm on vacation and all I can think about is coming home to baseball this weekend!!
Gwinnett, that is a big add for Shiloh, I'm glad you found a good spot to play! Those people are really nice, we played with them last summer and they are Gwinnett County's best shot at winning a major tourney this year. Adding your son just improved their odds as well!! Good luck this weekend!! |

Who will be the top three teams in pool A? The general consensus is EC Stars- Titans and ?
First real challenge for the Cards. A strong showing will validate them as a major team--A poor showing could send them back to AAA .

The Longhorns are really looking forward to this tournament, hopefully we can show well and make it to Sunday's bracket. I hear 643 is playing well so we'll have our hands full too.

Picking these pools seems like March Madness doesn't it? Here are my picks for each pool:
Pool A - Stars Pool B - Braves (it could come down to Saturday's pool game with the Megastars though) Pool C - 643 (playing braves tough last weekend has them brimming with confidence) Pool D - Stealth (This will come down to runs allowed)
So, the question becomes who wins it all? I'm going to pick the Braves, they are the defending champs. They might be a little banged up but still the king of this hill, can anyone knock them off? We'll see this weekend, go out and enjoy as this should be a great time. |

I heard last night that the Braves have three kids out for this weekend because of foot, knee and shoulder injurys. I wonder who they are picking up. |
