rudeboy - usssa is adding teams in pairs until they reach the limit that field space will allow. However, I'm not sure what is the max # of 11U teams.

Over the weekend (in 11U Majors) macon cards + rays went from 'paid waiting list only' to the field since both teams paid. I'm sure a few more good teams (locally + outside the state) will join the fun.

The Megastars usually come out for this one, and one or two of the bigger boys from FL. Maybe becuase, they have puched their ticket already (FL teams) they aren't coming. I'm pretty sure Atlanta was on the Megastars list. They may make their way over before it's said and done.

@ prestont I see it has changed over the weekend. I didnt think that the Grays or Rays were gonna make it since it was like 16 teams last week. Should be a very competative tourney. A couple former AAA teams have jumped into the fire! Very Good.

I think they used that paid waiting list to get team to commit and pay for the tournament, you saw they said 16 teams only and now their at 20+ paid teams. I bet they will take all that will come, plenty of fields down south to use.

I think we're all looking forward to next weekend's Super NIT, there are 25 teams signed up and it's a very large field of teams. So, I think most have a good feeling on the GA teams but many are from out of town. Who are the stronger out of town teams??

1. Osceola Powerhouse, FL
2. Stealth Bombers, GA
3. East Cobb Longhorns, GA
4. Wills Park Titans, GA
5. Midway Mavericks, GA
6. 6-4-3 DP Cougars, GA
7. Elite Gamers Red, GA
8. Athletic Republic, MI
9. East Cobb Braves, GA
10. Lynn Haven Longhorns, FL
11. Simpsonville Stars, SC
12. Laurens Lightning, SC

14. East Cobb Stars, GA
15. Elite Gamers Blue, GA
16. Georgia Grays, GA
17. Georgia Titans, GA
18. Knoxville Komets, TN
19. East Cobb Rays, GA
20. Macon Cardinals, GA
21. Elite Diamond Dawgs, SC
22. Tampa Threshers, FL
23. Central Florida Gators, FL
24. Alabama Bombers, AL
25. Charlotte Megastars, NC

If they are in opposite pools, it will most likely be the Braves, Stealth, Megastars and the last spot could be any one of 10 teams. Grays, Longhorns, Rays, Stars, 643, Gamers Red, Wills Park, Titans or any number of out of state teams could make a run to the final 4. However, I don't think any of them have enough to win a big tournament. I would rank all of these teams about the same at this point so who knows from week to week. I'm going to pick the team from Michigan to make it to the semi's with the big 3. They have to be pretty good to travel that far for a tournament. Didn't they come down last year for this tournament and do well?

Megastars are good but I think they are in the same group with the other teams you mentioned. jhmo but pool games will be very important, you can't save too much pitching otherwise you'll never make it to the bracket since they won't take all teams. Teams will bat 9 and pull out all the stops to make it.

It'll be interesting to see who gets put in each pool, if you can stay away from the top 2-3 teams then it's a much easier road just to get out of pool and onto bracket.

How are the Florida teams? Usually, those guys are pretty strong.

The team from MI has a very good record but have really not played anyone. The 11u Major Super NIT last year had a team from that same area come down. I think they won 1 game in pool play and had a very similar USSSA record. It is tough to compete with GA,FL,TX,and CA. I believe the weather has alot to do with it but I also believe we overall have more quality players to choose from.
I wonder if any of the big teams will be adding players for this tournament? I bet some of them will and that could change things.

Found out the schedule will be out this weekend for the SNIT.

This is why I signed up to coach travel ball, Zero easy games, every pitch counts, no saving pitching, you name it, this has it all.

Outlaw, I think there is only one kid in the south east that would make a major impact by adding to any of our rosters and we'll know when the megastars roll into town next Friday if he is actually with them or not, I believe he is.

Wish it started tomorrow

AMEN!!!!

I do think there are several big bats and big pitchers that can make a big difference tho, at least I know there are a lot of good pitchers out there they just seem to be spread out.....The Megastars kid is definitely one of them!!

There are players on some very strong rosters that may not be playing full time on those teams due to other commitments. I can think of a couple of those kids in Georgia that could make a huge impact, if they play next weekend. If the team from South Ga brings their part time player they will be much improved. Time will soon tell. Should be fun!

WOW a very strong pool to say the least. The EC braves/megastars will be a great game to watch. The winner will get number one seed and loser the number two. The question is whether the Grays can beat the out of state teams to get the wildcard.I will be pulling for them.
Pool A has to be the weakest pool. Bracket only calls for top 12 to play Sunday so 12 others want make the cut. My guess is that several teams will burn some pitching on Saturday.

Pool A is the Stars' to lose IMO.....They have a great draw and should be #1 seed. Pool B is definitely the toughest, and C doesn't look too easy either!!! Sunday should be interesting, I hear the Megastars will bring extra pitching.....Having an extra arm or two will allow every team to use some pitching to get that coveted #1 seed.

Too bad we're playing 643 at the same time, would of loved to have seen that one. Don't count out that team from MI, they are pretty good too but might be a little rusty since there is still snow up there.
