We the Lightning are not suprised at how well we did. We feel that we can compete with almost any team out there. This past weekend shows that. We did get beat in our second elimination game to the Chilidogs but it was by one run and we were up 9-3 when we just simply ran out of pitching. We had three of our better pitchers on the sidelines one due to wrestling and two because of non baseball related injuries. Who knows if these boys were ready who's to say we would not have been in the championship game. We look forward to proving ourselves on the field each and every week.
Yes the Bandits did beat us 11-0 but after the first inning we settled down and only allowed 5 runs the rest of the game. That being said the Bandits beat a lot of people worse than that.
Fourseam very happy for yal. Glad to see you guys playing in the bigger tourneys always knew your group had the talent. First tournament of the year and maybe only your 2nd triplecrown yeah i think you will be just fine. You competed well. I have always said there is more than just one good team from north Ga.
Saw the games at Barnett Park. A shout out to all the teams that played on Sunday. Team to watch I think is the East Cobb Stars. They fought til the end. Championship game was great. In the 4th they brought in #42, they had 8 runs against them. This kids threw some great stuff. Gave up just 1 run in 3 innings, and what a bat he has. Congrats to HP win 9-5. EC Stars tighen things up they are a team to sneak up on you. Congrats to all the boys.
kingofthehill: Glad you are back as it has much to civil on this board without you. It's even harder to get things posted now but I know with your charm and wit that you will not have that much of a problem. I might place a order for some flowers from you as many posters on the forum are ready to place the Bandits 6 foot under but you might want to wait until they can get it done before ordering the flowers.
Fourseam,what a weekend cant wait to get back on the field with our boys,We are very happy with this weekend. Congrats to the bandits and hp. The 2 games the lightning and HP played against each other were fantastic its the kind of baseball you pay money to see and cant wait to see it again when we make our next journy down I75.
Thanks. I hedged my bet by putting HPCD Black in the final four in place of Titans on another discussion board. I missed out on a free lunch from Bandit_Hawk for that mistake - but at least I got it right here.
