| Top 10 AAA teams, who do you have? I look at the list and think that there are probably 10 teams that can beat each other on any give day. Let me give it some thought and I'll post it here tomorrow. |

Here are my top 10 AAA teams, this list is in no particular order.
1) Middle GA Mocs - One team you don't want to play on Sundays.
2) Macon Cards - Steady AAA team.
3) Gamers Blue - In the shadows of the major team but they can hold their own.
4) Chilidogs - Two AAA type teams last year, can they keep one or both together??
5) Wills Park Titans - The old scorpions were a solid team and should continue their ways in 2011.
6) North Gwinnett - Solid and one of the best in Gwinnett County.
7) EC Yankees - Added a few solid players to build upon last years good start.
8) GA Select - Slugfest champs and Nations State Champs, solid team.
9) Roswell Hornets - Pesky AA team from last season that competed at AAA and with success.
10) Midway Mavericks - Several solid tournament runs, really came on.
Honorable mentions - Barrett Baseball, Hobgood Thrashers, Alpharetta A's, Sharon Springs and Parkview Panthers. |

| I would assume this is based on last years history since our team is mentioned and there are many teams out of our park with MANY changes! |

| That is true, many teams have had changes but at the same time many have kept more then 8-9 players so there is stability. Please keep in mind, this is strictly one fan's opinion, no expert or someone with any inside information. |

The AAA group got a lil weaker since many of the top AAA teams from last season are making the move to majors next season. Signature Park, Shiloh, EC Titans, EC Outlaws & Tigers will all be playing majors next season.
I think some teams will surprise but judging by the list, it looks like most of the top AAA teams are from south of the city. We'll see what each team has at the Slugfest or Super NIT, can't wait to see how it all shakes out! |

This stuff is like pre-season college football, you never know how these teams will play with the new players, how injuries or players changing teams last minute will effect the balance of power.
And like college football, some teams will underachieve while others will exceed expectations, about a 1/3 of the way thru the season is when you'll see what this list really looks like. It's going to fun to look back and see if I'm even close on any of this but history has shown that many of my picks and tournament predictions have come true. |

I don't know all of the teams and with kids going here or there you just don't know. Some might end of AA or some might be AAA. To be determined...
Here are some I like:
Wills Park Titans
Sandy Plains Wildcats
Alpharetta A's
Roswell Hornets
Milton Nationals
Midway Mavericks
Hobgood Thrashers
Also there is a new team Patriots Baseball out of Alpharetta which might be pretty good as well.

I will be interested to see if these teams actually sign up for major when the time comes. We have signed up for AAA as of this point and will play in a few of the major tournaments to test the waters. If usssa decides reclassify our team again then so be it.I think we could play 500 baseball with a major field of 15 teams and if we get two more pitchers then maybe even better. |

Hey guys! I have been away for awile. Gotta work to pay for this baseball thing sometime. I have left the Elite Bandits. The only reason for this is I live about 3 minutes away from Home Plate and have decided to coach a team out of HP.
I have put together a great group of kids and and even better group of parents. We will be a AAA team.
I need a center fielder that can lead off if you know of anyone.
The Bandits have returned most of there fine young men. They lost my son and one more that moverd over with me. They have added a few strong kids and they will be very good I am sure.
I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

| I think the Parkview Panthers will make some noise in the AAA ranks next season, they recently won a tournament at ATPP and have played some of the top teams very well. just my 2 cents. |

| The Panthers play out of Mountain Park Park in Gwinnett County. We are the primary feeder program into Parkview High School. We have one team playing at each level 9U through 14U. We primarily play a schedule in the Greater Gwinnett Baseball League and added a tournament once a month last spring as our GGBL schedule allowed. We have really enjoyed playing at ATPP this fall and plan to play tournaments more often in the spring 2011. |

| I think the AAA ranks will be the most competitive around, you don't have a couple of dominate teams but what you have is about 12-15 teams that can beat each other on any given day. |

| The reason I asked about the Parkview team is that they seem to be holding tryouts still....one is posted on the 11U site here for 10/31. Maybe they are playing fall with non-football kids like some of the other teams are and haven't settled on a roster yet. |

G, there roster is not set yet. They are having tryouts and some football players are returning. They should be very strong for spring.quote:

Cisco, this is where my heart is, AAA teams is what I follow more then anything. Your list certainly has a Roswell/Alpharetta feel to it. The WP teams will be good but the Titans might not be the best team out of that park as the Warriors really played well last weekend, heard they were run ruling teams in bracket play.
SP Wildcats - Were AA last year but made some moves, recently picking up the Goliath outlaws 1B, he was not hard to spot at Webb Bridge. They'll need more then the big boy to compete at AAA.
Alpharetta A's - Pitching depth is a concern, probably why they didn't play many last year. No offense but I wouldn't be bragging about going 20-0 in lanier league.
Roswell - Making the jump to AAA this year after a very good season, added some experienced travel ball kids. These guys don't "wow" you but they are always in the game, heard they recently tied the EC Rays. Don't know if that's good for Roswell or bad for the Rays. Big game vs. the Raptors tonight, I wouldn't be surprised by a roswell victory.
Milton - Another AA team, not sure if their jumping up to AAA or not. They can compete at AAA but will be more in the middle of the pack in AAA and there is nothing wrong with that, gotta walk before you can run.
Midway - These guys had a rough 9U season but bounced back with a great 10U season with several final 4 showings. Should be one of the better AAA teams next spring if they progress like last season.
Hobgood - Not sure what to expect from this team next spring as they had a .500 first season but did win the NWGA title fwiw. Heard they lost their SS to the Smash team whoever they are.
And as far as the new Patriot team, they have a good core but as most know you need 7-8 solid kids to build off of to compete. |

AAA teams I know and like:
Wills Park Titans -- Lost some really good kids, but the core is strong. I expect they will pick up where they left off last year. Tough out for even a major team.
Roswell Hornets -- Love this team. Someone said they don't wow you, but then you realize they just beat you. That's kinda like the team we have, so I admire that when I see it. Sounds like they picked up some good kids, so would expect them to be an above average AAA team this season.
Wills Park Warriors -- We played them this fall in another one of our classic duels, losing 11-10. I thought they struggled to hit some last year, but this year they are killing the ball. I know quite a few of the kids they picked up and they are all solid players. This is not a team you want to face in game one of bracket play.
Alpharetta A's -- Know these guys pretty well. Lots of talent on this team. They picked up a few good players, but lost a few as well. Net/net, they are probably a smidge better this year. Looks like they are going to a few more tournaments this year, so it will be good to see them more this coming season. Kind of an unknown team due to playing mostly LL last year, but expect they will make an impact in the tournaments they play in.
Hobgood Thrashers -- We were supposed to play these guys last year in a championship game, but it got rained out. Watched them play a few times and was impressed. We did catch them later in a WP tournament, and they were solid across the board. Not sure if they've improved, but they have to be in the conversation.
Midway Mavericks -- I thought they were one of the best teams I saw all last season. We played them once, and they just scratched out a run or so an inning, and the next thing you know we were down 6. Interestingly, we played that game on a 50 ft. mound and didn't realize it until the game was over, so we got a sneak peek at 11u ball that day. This is one of the best AAA teams in this area, if not the best.
West Forsyth Diamond Dawgs -- I am very familiar with these guys. My son played a few games for them last year when they were short-handed. They have improved a ton this year. We played them in the fall and lost in a competitive game, but were lucky to be that close. This is the team I predict from this area to have the biggest upside and could surprise teams across the state. They have speed, power, pitching depth and defense.
Barrett Baseball -- They seemed to play everyone this past fall. Watched them play a very good game against the Diamond Dawgs and almost pull it out. Still too new to predict how they will compete, but they have the chance to be good.
Patriot Baseball -- I think that is their name. They took players from both WP teams and some Sharon Springs kids. From what I can tell, their core is good enough to play at a solid AAA level.
Sandy Plains Wildcats -- I was very impressed by this team when we played them last year. We lost a close game and we really threw the game away at the end, but I thought they were the better team. Sounds like they picked up the big guy, so they should be even more potent. We're playing our first tournament at their place, so I'm looking forward to catching them in action.
SFCB Rangers -- We played these guys a couple of times last year and split those games. Really, really like the coaches, and we just enjoyed playing them. Not sure what they've added, but they can play with any AAA team.
Obviously, this list has a north metro feel, because those are the teams I see most. Would love to see a similar list of teams from other areas. Still hoping to make a tournament in south Georgia this year, so a southern list would be helpful.

| Somebody should call Andy the guru of the board, very good breakdown. We played Sandy Plains, Barrett twice and roswell this fall and all are very solid teams. Add in some south side teams and AAA is very deep. |

| Don't forget the East Cobb teams, Yankees, Rays, Raptors and Titans and it will be a really deep division. I assume the Longhorns are a major team now with all the major players they have added. |
