The ECB Titans won a tournament in Cumming this past weekend. They knocked the Gwinett Titans out. I think four teams played in it. I think the other teams were the Ducula Falcons and Sharron Springs. Way to go ECB Titans!!!! ECB has some VERY strong teams this seasons!

LAST WEEKEND AT THE LAKE, 45'S CAUGHT A COUPLE MORE FISH BUT CHILIDOGS WIN THE TOURNAMENT, *see "REVERT BACK" clause... THIS WEEKEND SUNDAY SHOOTOUT AT HOMEPLATE. I THINK THERE'S ROOM FOR 1 OR 2 MORE TEAMS.

Yes the East Cobb Titans beat the Gwinnett Titans with solid fundemental baseball. Congrats to them on a well played game. Titans pitcher was a little wild in the first two innings, walked some batters, throw in some fundementally sound baserunning and a few seeing eye hits and ECB Titans had six runs on the board. All they needed. Gwinnet Titans had three runners thrown out/picked off in first two innings and failed to get big hits when they needed to score. Gwinnett Titans pitcher threw seven innings of pretty good baseball (shut out ECB Titans last five innings) but his offense and defense did not get it done behind him. I thought the Gwinnet Titans outpitched and out hit the ECB Titans, but lost by four runs because they did not play fundementally sound baseball in the other areas of the game. ECB Titans made them pay.

If I were a betting man, even though the Gwinnet Titans beat the ECB Pride last weekend and lost to the ECB Titans this weekend, I would put my money on the ECB Pride over the ECB Titans seven out of ten times. (just hard to tell which team to put the money on which games)

Actually, no one won that tourney. No places were named. At the time of the rainout, the Pride and the Stixx were 1 and 2 seeds. There were still several games left and a championship game to be played. So, in actuality, no one won that tournament.

You are correct beisbol, there was no winner of the tournament per se. The record book will, however, reflect that the Pride had wins over the Stixx, EC Titans, and Collins Hill on Saturday of the tournament. In essence, on Sunday all other teams were fighting for 2nd seed prior to rain out. Go Pride!!!

Those were definitely very good wins for the Pride. They have a bright season ahead. Those teams you mentioned will probably be seeing one another again this 2011 season. You sound like you must have "a dog in the fight" for the ECB Pride. It looked like their pitching was getting the job done from what I saw. The closest game looked like it was with the Stixx, and that came right down to the end. Looking forward to some good 13U tournaments this year.

Actually it was just a well pitched game by both teams. HP lost that game on some defensive errors. That just happens sometimes. Didn't seem to have any problems in their mercy rule shortened next game. If you check the tournament report I believe HP has the most total runs scored, highest average runs, best run differential and 2nd fewest runs allowed. I think they'll be just fine.

It was a well pitched game. HP played very sloppy, we were lucky to hold the Stixx to just 3 runs. Hopefully, Sunday want start out the same way. :)

The Pride and Outlaws looked solid. Outlaws has always been a fundamentally sound team, look for these guys to be in the finals along with HP.

Looks like HP just beat EC Pride 11-0. Scored 26 runs while only giving up 1 in their last 2 games doesn't sound like an inability to score to me.

Everyone hyped HP and The Gamers. The truth is The Stixx are the team to beat down south until further notice. Good luck to other teams, But there is still a gap between the teams

Just got word from Auburn that HP just run ruled another one. I think that's the 3rd one this tournament. Perhaps they do have the ability to score some runs after all.........

Geez, the Home Plate haters are a little rough! Lose our first game as a team 3-1 and we don't have the ability to score? Might as well just end the season now. Since that loss we've played 3 games outscouring our opponents 37-2. Bringing that to 87-14 for the season. Guess some people will never be satisfied.

Well GoGators consider this your further notice. Check the scores in the morning. Word out of Auburn is they run- ruled all 3 of their major opponents today. Scoring 31 runs while allowing only 1 run the entire day. Might not be so much hype.

Our in-class record is now 3-1. Having only played 4 in-class games I don't think that's too bad. We can't help who else enters tournaments. We're just trying to get some innings in for our newly formed team. But I think this weekend shows we can hold our own against in-class teams.

For the record, for anyone who wasn't there. Although the score might not reflect it, the Stixx played a great game in the championship. They were on their third straight game without a break and had 1 bad inning. Take that one away and it's a 1-0 game. To their credit, after a rough first inning they never for a second gave up. Most teams would have given up but they played hard to the last out. We, or at least I, know they are still the team to beat from the southside, but hopefully now HP will be part of the same conversation.
