Just wrapped up our season and some key stats.

936 emails

72 phone tree messages resulting in 1899 successful deliveries

350 days (first email was 7/9, last game 6/26). The record was 372 days for the 12YO team. I started working on it before 11U was done.

10 years off my life expectancy. (A new record.)

I highly recommend the Omaha Slumpbuster tournament. It coincides with the College World Series. Go to Session 1 or 2 and leave yourself an extra day to account for weather and make sure that you can go to at least 1 CWS game. It's a Triple Crown tournament and Keri King does a good job. If you are a baseball addict it is way better than Panama City.

Not sure what to do with all this extra time I seem to have today. :D

I figured out what to do. Threw my son 3 1/2 buckets in the cage before going out of town on business. I'll need the rest of the week for the wing to recover.

Now, back to the job that pays...

Because we started it in February and I like to give the boys (and parents) some semblance of a summer. With all the field time we get we got plenty of baseball in. The latest I have ever ended was July 4. That would have been 2 weeks after our out of town trip (Omaha) and even the 1 week we had really seemed anticlimactic.

We had a couple of football players, but most of the boys will be playing baseball again somewhere in about 5 weeks. It was a good stopping point.
