There was a previous thread that discussed a baseball stat app for the iPhone. I'm curious if anyone has used and can recommend a stat software for a PC. A Google search shows a ton of 'em, but want to hear from users who have been pleased with ones that they have. I'm hoping that there's a free program out there that does a good job.

I use Turbostats and Scorekeeper. Its a great program and very intuitive. The only downside is that you must us a PDA with Palm OS for Scorekeeper. I've had mine for about 3 years. Not sure if they now have a program for Microsoft OS.

For our team we are currently using Fixed It. One of our parents used it before and it's not bad for the price. We played our first tournament last weekend and it took some time but by the third game it was pretty easy. We looked at a couple of others but like I said the price was right and the statistical output was what we were looking for. I actually have the entire program saved on a thumb drive (nothing on actual hard drive) so it can be placed in any laptop which is great. A couple of years ago a team I was with used Digital Scout which was really good, but it just costs soooo much. The hardest thing is getting the lineups in before game time with the other coaches being slow to get their lineup together. I actually go out on the internet and pull rosters and input the information prior so all I'm really doing at the last minute is adding numbers or players that weren't listed on their team website.

Good luck with whatever program you decide to go with.

I have used BallScore and BallStat (bundled) for several years with great success. There is a free trial version or you can pay $19.95 and get free upgrades for life. Score games with BallScore, export them directly to BallStat for really robust reporting.

We use rteamsite to host our team website. There is a very comprehensive stat system built into it that we love. It provides graphs and charts for individual and multiple games as well as each player.

www.rteamsite.com You can run off their demo site on the web to look at all the various capabilities.

DakStats and PointStreak are both quality stat collectors. We're going to have one of the two at our park for every game played. You're able to launch the game live onto your website...it shows a simulated gamecast of the game, pitch by pitch, play by play. This is great for family and friends that want to watch the game but can't make it to the field.

DakStats is from Daktronics, the same company that does the quality scoreboards. DakStats is also widely used throughout MLB. They also have a free 30 day demo. The reports generated from DakStats is very impressive...would be nice to use to upload great information on your website. I think if you check it out you will be very impressed with the capabilities!

Another good one that is free is www.tomorrowspro.com They will track stats you input and you can set it to email out players stats to their email address if they want to keep up with their own. It is pretty cool to be free.

Check out Game Changer http://www.gamechanger.io/ It is an app for your Iphone or Itouch. It is simple and easy to use. You get all the stats and live webcast and updates sent to anyone with a phone or an email. It is free too.
