Wow. And yet the re-tooled bats ARE legal bats. Interesting. |

The director is saying he heard they are being tampered with?? Every bat ever produced has been tampered with by somebody. Ridiculous reason to ban a legal bat |

Tampered with?? Just make everyone swing wood bats if the retooled are banned. Just band every bat that is not wood. Unless they do not want to expose the charade. |

You are always pushing wood!!! What did you do go buy a bunch of wood futures? ;)
Oh buy the way, I agree with you. I would much rather see these kids using wood bats.
That being said though, that won't stop the tampering. Once wood came back, the most used wood would be cork. |

No, they are NOT banned, as the governing body who's name is on the BPF stamp (USSSA) has APPROVED the re-tooled for play. PG, T/C, USSSA ALL allow them. Not sure why TbS is being the 'odd man out'. (Unless complaints from those who DO NOT have them, have started coming in). |

Yup. Always pushing using wood bats. They were good enough when I was playing. Haven't bought any futures yet. Thanks for the tip though. Corked bats do not perform as well as solid bats |

Looked at TBS rules and have to give them big credit.
2. Roster batting: Teams can bat a nine-player lineup, a 10-player lineup using an extra hitter (EH), or roster bat all present uniformed players. The lineup must be declared before the start of the game and used the entire game.
No PO's, no 15 plus rosters and only bat 9. Bat all or don't come. This is a rule that should trickle to all tournaments. |
