Has anyone got the score of the early pool games especially the 643 and Holly Springs Express. I might have to eat a little crow for Coach Mark as I might have stuck my big foot in my mouth as I didn't know much about Holly Springs until yesterday.

Also where will the scores be posted for this tournament as I could not locate any scores at all. I can write but I cannot operate the computer like my grandchildren do.

Typical USSSA no score updates. Hey East Cobb how about posting scores instead of just game times.

Holly Springs beat 6-4-3 something like 10-3. I watched a little of this game and 6-4-3 really struggled to throw strikes which is very uncharacteristic of this team. Combine that with the way H.S. hits the ball and it was a bad recipe for the Cougars.

Longhorns pulled out a close win against the Luck but I don't know the score.

Chili Dogs Black beat the Bulldogs 8-3 or something close to that.

The Tigers were down against the NYO team but I don't know how that one finished up. Last I saw, the Tigers were mounting a comeback.

Here we go again. I think that USSSA philosophy is simple, don't tell anybody anything and they will be forced to come to the park, pay the gate fee and eat our hot dogs.

Warning to USSSA: The reason have so many fewer teams every single year in your tournaments is this very thing. Papa is getting into this century of technology and so should you.

Post the blasted scores. We are very interested in the results.

I wish I knew how to post this apology to Holly Springs in bold letters but I do not. Congratulations on your big win over 643 and as soon as Coach Mark finds the crow field Papa will be eating some crow. Great job Express.

All in good fun Papa, but would you like some sauce with your crow? I prefer Texas Pete but you might like something different in Ringgold.

And for the record, Coach Brad is correct, I have no affiliation with his HS team. Just an observer of good baseball when I see it.

Papa - I'm using Google Maps to find a special field near Cooperstown. I'll send you directions once I find a good one ;)

stinger: I know you have heard of the Wild Game Banquets some of the churches are doing. I wonder if they serve crow. Papa stands corrected and Pistol Pete will do just fine.

Good job Express and I will be sure and save some of this crow for my 643 friends.

the way teams are improving as of late too tough to call who will win this one.
Sandtown has to be the favorite going in. I wouldnt count 6-4-3 out in any tournament even though they didnt seem to play well in their first pool play game, probably due to playing the previous weekend. Holly Springs could be right there as well, Scorpians know how to win but other teams are starting to catch up. Toros are a team to watch out for, Longhorns are starting to gel so they could be dangerous with that one big hitter that can go deep and change the outcome of some close games. Tigers still havent gel-ed like I thought they would by this time in the season. HP Chili will be in there fighting it out too, but seem to not get the breaks they need to win. Bracket matchups will decide who goes home early and who makes it to the finals-I will go with 6-4-3 and Sandtown or the winner of this game if it happens early to finish on top.

Saw some good games last night. The game of the night was the scorpions and nyo. Good fundamental baseball from both late in game. I wish i wouldn't have stuck around for the 2nd game to see the Coach from the Chili Dog Red live up to his reputation.....

some really good games.Sandtown beat NYO 4-3 in bottom of the 6th.Very good game by 2 classy teams.NYO could have stalled and probably ended it in 5 innings but to their credit they continued to play at the proper pace. Both teams played a great game.Scorpions beat 6-4-3- 2-1 another good game.East Cobb bulldogs beat Wills Park in 6 innings either 5-4 or 4-3.Chilidogs red beat Longhorns 13-7 or something close to that.NYO beat whoever they played first.I think it was the tigers.Really good low scoring baseball all night.

I think everyone is underestimating the Scorpions. They are well rested and ready to sting. They've been working hard to prepare for Cooperstown and this is the final hurrah before then. Look for them in the finals with Sandtown.
