I can't find a list of participating teams anywhere. With a scheduled start date 1 week away ( I know, it never starts on Monday) would it be possible for Dennis or John, or ANYONE involved, to clue the rest of us in on who is planning to attend? |

Because playing in USSSA tournaments is a pain in the, uhmmm, neck compared to other organizations?
Here's a couple of suggestions for USSSA: be transparent about who is playing and respond to questions/concerns/emails/phone calls and maybe Triple Crown and USTBA will stop taking market share.
just a thought.
Can't believe there are no Astros or Stallions or SW Express or about 4 or 5 other teams I can think of. |

Don't you have to qualify for USSSA state? I believe the top 2 teams from the Sub-State tournaments qualify for the State. |

I am surprised there are not more teams registered. You have to take out the AAA teams that are normally playing in the local tournaments, as they will be playing in the AAA state tournament instead.
The Astros are playing in the 14U USSSA Major State this week and will be playing in the 14U Perfect Game Wood Bat tournament next week (overlaps with the 13U USSSA State) but I am not sure about teams like Team Gwinnett, who you would expect to be there. Other than that, which teams are people expecting that are not listed? |

My prediction for final four would be:
PC Vipers Bulldog Baseball
then a battle betweeen Webb Bridge, Combat, Team Gwinnett and Hobgood for other two spots. |

GL - good to see you pop out of retirement once in awhile! Likewise, the Stallions will be in Omaha playing in the TC Slumbuster and hopefully getting in some CWS games. This too is an overlap that doesn't allow them to play in the USSSA State or they would most likely attend. My family is packing up the RV as we speak and looking forward to the adventure! I'll stay tuned in to the U-Trip... good luck to you all! |

One or both of the Wills Park teams, Sharon Springs, Roswell.

3sondad, Major does not have a sub-state. Only AAA. I guess they don't expect AAA teams to travel as far so they need to have more regional sub tournaments. |

Don't you have to play in your states, your age groups, state tournament to be able for the Elite World Series? |

Sandlot, Not if they are playing in a higher age group and get approval from the National Director that it counts toward the qualification for Elite.
BTW, the schedule is out now. |

you all make good points on why the draw is so slow and look at the issue that here we are 5 days from the tournment opening and nothing is posted on usssa or east cobb websites for teams or anything
triple crown gotta say does that lot better it tells you what to expect not just be blindfolded and accept it
Other than that, which teams are people expecting that are not listed?
One or both of the Wills Park teams, Sharon Springs, Roswell.
The WP Warriors were last year. The Panthers were going to have to move up. Roswell Hornets are listed as Major.
Add 5 Tool and Outlaws Baseball to the list that I might have expected. |

I would agree with Mamma Bee but will add that you have to watch out for Team Gwinnett and hope to not hit them in an early elimination game. If so, they could spoil someone's hopes of advancing.
Good luck to all the teams. |

SS Longhorns beat Kennesaw 4-0. I know this from the Longhorns' web site.
A prime example of why TC is overtaking USSSA in this age group. People love those updates.
3 USSSA AAA Sub States had 21 teams. 5 of them were AA teams and Collins Hill played in 2 different Sub States (???). 15 are currently showing for the State, so apparently the Sub State didn't eliminate any AAA teams.
I'm not smart enough to figure that one out. |
