i think the director is listing all the teams that have played in tournaments in Georgia this spring. Doesnt mean they all are playing.

Thats what I was thinking but for teams looking for somewhere to play may think this is a Large Turn Out...Maybe it would be better to just clear the teams and show the teams that are wanting to play. That way one can make a better call on if they want to enter or not...Most teams have already picked a plcae to play but for those that have not, can not afford to sign up only to find out that there aren't many teams playing...

The teams listed, as it states on the website, are teams which have qualified or registered their team. Teams which finish 1st or 2nd in a qualifying tournament or play in 1 tournament and the State Championships also qualify. The actual number at this time is 42 committed.

We will release the actual teams by June 15. We have found, by releasing teams names early, they get bombarded by other directors trying to sway where they play.

it might be that if he clears the teams there wont be many left. Its not like Douglasville is close to the beach. And Boundary Waters cant host that many teams. Including the small fields for the younger groups it has 7 fields. I guess if many teams did sign up that Hunter Park would also be used?

Well it says that you are only taking 18 per age group on your site..other teams that are trying to make a choice to play or not play can't make that choice..If 90% of these teams don't come and you have other teams thinking they are, when June 15 comes around and there are just a hand full left the teams that want to play are going to be upset because they thought this was going to be a larger turn out....I know some of those teams on that list have plans to play at other end of the year tournaments just from looking at their web sites Grand Slam, Simpliy the Best, ect....

Add another team to that list. The Southern Jaguars will be playing in the 11's.

I am not buying the teams getting bombarded statement. I have been getting "bombarded" by every oganization since last fall about this tournament and that tournament for our team to consider. This would not be any different. Every alphabet soup organization out there is trying to reinvent the youth baseball experience. Some do it better than others, just be honest about who is really coming so we can all make an informed decision.

As it is I know that the Stars are going to Texas for the USYBA World Series. The Longhorns and Roadrunners are going to AAU. The Jaguars are planning on being at the event last I heard.

Mike thats what I am trying to get across to them..We wouldn't mind playing but we don"t know who is "PLANING TO PLAY" so it hard to say yea we are in...At the least USTBA can show thems that have shown intrest instead of thos that have qualified to play...What is USSSA had ALL the teams that had qualified listed on ALL of their W.S. no one would know who is playing where...
