After watching some really good baseball over the weekend, what did you guys see that impressed you regarding teams and players in the 10u age group?

Down in double AA, Fayette Dirtbags beat us 3-2 in semifinals. Their pitcher threw a 2 hitter and walked none. Our pitcher threw a one hitter, walked three, hit a batter and had ten strikeouts. Good game had the tying run on third at the end of the game.

What impresses me most is the number of talented teams. A lot of states have several good teams but Georgia has as many as 10-12 really good travel teams. There are many great teams from the other states but Georgia just seems to have so many more that can win on any given weekend.

That is what makes the Georgia baseball very good right now.

We played our 1st AA tourney against most of the top rated AA teams, and what impressed me most was the pitching accuracy. We only saw 1 who could hit 60 mph, but that kid had a great change. Our hitters had maybe 6 walks in 3 games.
