Bball123, I believe you may be correct. From what I heard, the Scorpions pitcher who pitched agains Kennesaw last weekend was from Holly Springs(formerly Creekview)and he looked impressive. The Holly spring team might be a sleeper team to watch out for. |

Scout Day Prospects are like the Georgia Grip, and not aligned with a school cluster/County Park as all the rest of the Gwinnett 10U teams. Thus, they have more potential than GGBL teams. These two independents will compete for recruits. The Grip were wise to base themselves out of Lawrenceville, smack dab in the center of the County, so they can attract talent County-wide. SD Prospects are South-County based, so can't draw from the 6 Northern most clusters.
The Grip scrimmaged Wills Park Sunday, and both teams were closely matched. The Grip were missing 2 regulars, so had 2 more fill-ins than usual. Not sure if Wills Park was at full strength, or not.
All 3 of these teams have strong Coaching, and a lot of commitment behind them. They also have some year round players, which is why they're somewhat active now.
If Collins Hill pops up in a tourney, they could surprise. #1 GGBL 10U team. Take a look at their 11u team's USSSA ranking. Good program.
