Looking for recommendations for HS age speed and agility training for the off season. Any good experiences? He gets weight training at school.

My 15 year old is on his last week of the Combat Pitcher program. It's billed as a pitching program but it would work for any position. It's not for the faint of heart though. His class it 2x week for 1 1/2 hrs a pop. It's non stop work, speed, agility, throwing, etc. I think it was well worth it. As a side note his velocity increased 3mph at the halfway point of the classes. Hopefully it will have gone up again on Thursday when it's over.

Travis who runs the RAPID program out of DBat is great. He has some high level high school kids in there on a regular basis.

He is taking it an academy (5tool) in Douglasville. I'm sure if you look around you can find somewhere close. I have been impressed.

Thanks Steve,

I did not realize that. I know my son enjoyed playing with you guys in the 14u USA championships last summer. (Without giving his name: He was the big kid who was one of the three that made the development team.)

Not sure as to what all is included but go to www.knoxbaseball.com and contact Dallas McPherson. He has some off season workouts he will be leading. Read about him on the site to get some history.

Consider Rapid Performance ( http://rapidsportsperformance.com/ )
Baseball-specific, position specific training. Their client list reads like a Who's Who of high level, local talent.

We found Rapid last year via this website and tried it out. Wow! It had a huge impact on my oldest son, who just graduated and is playing D2 this year. We would definitely make the investment again.
